The Middleton guard was impressive in the few games I saw her play at McCormick Place. Reinhard has a knack for getting to the basket and finishing around the basket. She controls the ball well under pressure and can score in the paint with either hand. She also sets the tempo for her team’s offense and can force defenders to bend to keep her out of the paint. I thought she was one of the more impressive young players I learned about this past weekend.

Middleton’s 5-8 Reinhard, coming off of a 11.3 ppg freshman season, where she earned Honorable Mention in the Big 8, has built on that with a terrific AAU summer. What has impressed me is not only her ability to consistently knock down three-pointers but also to finish with either hand around and through contact. Her defensive effort has been probably the most eye popping especially watching her chase down fast breaks and block layups where other players might concede the easy hoop.
