This four day stretch during this time of the year is special with everyone's Circuit hosting their National Championships. This makes for non-stop action across the Country throughout the weekend and even into the next week in some cases.

In this piece we talk about a few players that continue to raise their stock as a collegiate recruit with the way they have been competing on the road this weekend. Make sure to check them out when you have a moment!

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

It's important that we note the weekend Lyla Hentges has put together moving into Day Three of action at The 2026 EYBL Nike Nationals. We always tell players to "play their own game" and that's exactly what Hentges is doing. She is listed as a 5'10 SG, that is really good when her feet are set from deep. She plays more of a screening SG or a CG in reality, that is a tough guard because if you sag off or go under the screen, it's a three ball in your face. If you go over or chase, she is going to get to a more favorable spot near the basket or she is going to hit the roll-women as they move into the middle of the floor. Either way, not a great situation defensively for anyone. All in all, I love the game Hentges competes with. She keeps it simple, she makes open shots with little space given, she doesn't slouch as a defender, and she seems extremely coachable.

At this point it's only a matter of time until Dolliver starts to rack in the D1 offers. The reality is that she keeps showing up. Doesn't matter if it's at your local YMCA or during a 3SSB National title run - when she laces up her kicks, she is ready to give you hell. This is an ability most don't possess at the high school level. Most fold with the pressure or they aren't used to the high level of competition from outside of their own state but not Dolliver. She has been FANTASTIC yet again this season and especially this weekend with a lot of coaches in attendance. It wouldn't shock me if she pulled in an offer before she left the state of South Carolina over the next 48 hours and once the first comes in - it's going to create a domino effect with other team's coming into offer as well.

Makayla Gehrke competes with an efficient style of play on the floor. From what I've put together she doesn't look like the type that forces any unneeded action. She takes what is given to her by the defense and that's why she thrives more times than not. Gehrke is coming off of a team leading performance yesterday in PRO16 play. She finished with over 15 points while registering a few other positive statistics on both offense and defense. As an individual I would say that MG has quick hands, active feet, and an impressive ability to adapt in short amounts of time given the situation put in front of her. That adaptability is something that is going to take her places in this sport, especially if she keeps getting better over time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1092008' first='Elynn' last='Hemann'] of Missouri Phenom - Iowa 15U has been putting together her game-style for a few years now and it showed to kick off this weekend in Chicago on the road. Hemann finished off Game #1 leading her team in scoring with 11 Points, 2 Assists, and 2 Steals. This is a respectable stat line from a promising young prospect on a pretty big stage. There are always hundreds of coaches walking around at this event throughout the four days so it only takes one to stop for a second and who knows what could happen. If Hemann can compete with this type of confidence this Winter at Solon, she is going to be someone that shows up for them throughout the season and it will set her up for success as she continues to get other.

It's hard to say that Buller is raising her recruitment stock without having played a game of Varsity Basketball yet but it would be foolish to think that she isn't going to be someone to know out of the 2030 Class in Nebraska this Winter. Buller has been a name we have heard for years now throughout the Midwest because of her mental aptitude, the way she carries herself, and the natural skill she competes with as a scorer/defender. This is someone that was highlight by a number of different companies for putting on some stellar performances the last few days and this is only the tip of the iceberg to what Buller is going to turn out to be. Elkhorn South runs a complicated system in some regards but it's really highlights the players that are mentally strong and that's Buller, so I'm excited to see where she will end up following these next four years.

This four day stretch during this time of the year is special with everyone's Circuit hosting their National Championships. This makes for non-stop action across the Country throughout the weekend and even into the next week in some cases.
