DMV Freshman Showcase: Foster’s Intangible Players

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The DMV Freshman Showcase brought talent ranging from Hampton, VA to Baltimore, MD with stops in between. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Showcases can become overwhelming for some players but those who just play the game correctly will most certainly standout. Their game, may not include illusive moves or point stacking. She was able to show her knowledge of the game when playing with unfamiliar teammates by moving without the ball to put herself scoring positions. A few times she found the gap, put her hands up, then was fed the ball for easy layups. Defensively, she is just as smart. On back to back possessions Schrader secured the defensive rebound then made the correct outlet pass ahead, sprinted the floor while the ball swung around, caught her defender sleeping, and went back door on the baseline to be rewarded for a wide open layup. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Her height and fast feet allow her to play and guard all positions on the court. Frannie told her teammate to keep fighting, gave her a high five then went sprinting into the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On the court Frannie's energy carried over on the defensive end. She has the frame of a small forward but the skillset plus court vision of a point guard.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She shined most during the 5v5 where she could push the ball in transition with her head up then drop timely dimes to her teammates. She never looked defeated but instead tried her best to get in back on the defensive end by sprinting and picking up the ball handler.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
