The Exposure Fall League tipped off it's season on Sunday, August 23. It will run through the end of September. The league is broken down into 3 divisions: 5/6th grade, 7/8th grad and High School.

I will primarily cover the 4 teams in the 7/8th grade division. However, that doesn't mean I won't peek in on the 5/6th graders.

There were several 7th graders that stood out during Tip Off Day:

The 7th grader got the league started with a 3 pointer. She followed that by draining another 3 pointer. She isn't limited to shooting 3s. She will attack to the basket too. She was also the primary ball handler for her team.

The 7th grader is an all around, high motor player. I would consider her a big guard right now. Defensively, she is aggressive and can defend the guard and post positions. Offensively, she attacks for the pull up and can also knocked down a high post jumper. She is very unselfish and will make the extra pass. A player isn't safe for a wide open layup because she is coming from behind to contest. She has good anticipation skills for steals and deflections.

The 7th grader is a Strong Stretch Forward. She cleans up the boards and converts them for buckets. She also stretches the floor attacking to score or if open attempting the long 2.

The 7th grader is a player who is really beginning to blossom. I actually noticed it while watching her play in a spring league. I've primarily seen her in the post. She has gotten quicker and can defend on the perimeter now. A very aggressive defender that has active hands and feet while on the ball. Offensively, she attacks the basket from the perimeter and has extended her range to the 3 point line.
