Inaugural SGG Elite League Tips Off

Middle and High School players from the surrounding areas will be playing in several leagues over the next 2 months.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>SGG Elite League tipped off it's Inaugural season on Monday, August 17. The senior forward started the game with not one but 2 perimeter blocks as she closed out on 3 point shots. Always playing with high energy. She had at least 3 steals by my stats and converted on 2 of them. The 8th grader ran point for her squad. She had at least 4 assists looking for her teammates in the half court and in transition. She isn't limited to just distributing for her team.&nbsp; Before team warm ups began, she got reps in working on her pull up and she was able to put it on display in the game. Then I saw her play more extensively in a Summer League game with her high school. In the game, she showed how aggressive she can be defensively. In her first SGG league game,&nbsp; I really saw her athleticism. She is quick off the floor and also quick laterally to the basket. She has a strong frame with her athleticism and can score beyond the block. She even took a 3 point attempt. She can be considered undersized but she plays very big. She seemed to be in the right place at the right time to get the ball for buckets. She not only scored off dump offs but away from the basket in the mid to high post areas. She doesn't mind creating contact in the paint and banging for boards. During her first SGG League game, she really showed the impact that she brings to the game. She plays with high energy and does the intangible the entire game. She hustles, gets on the floor and just seems to always be in the middle of the action. The lefty gets to the basket; gets buckets and to the line by attacking. She is small in statue with a strong frame and will get in the paint to compete for rebounds. She caught my attention and the crowd's because of her ball handling abilities and her ability to score. She creates for herself with quick and shifty dribbling and a jab move.
