Underrated PGs From The ’28 Class

Am I biased because I played back then? Maybe, a little. But I see the value in all positions. The more I dive into the ‘28 class, the more I see how girls who were given the keys early in their careers have blossomed into trustworthy players. Their coaches saw something in them early on, and, in the present day, these kids have been efficient and effective leaders who make an impact in multiple ways.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2028 class is loaded with kids at this position. There is a whole lot of highly touted kids at the top of the class that play this position. However, there is also a good crop of underrated kids who play this position. Maybe it's because of the role they play. Maybe it's their division or local. She's an extension of her coach because she knows how to get people into the right positions. A big-time encourager, she leads by example and uplifts others' play. She can score from multiple spots on the floor, contribute in other phases of the game, and compete at a high level. One of her greatest attributes is her ability to distribute the rock. She knows how to manipulate a defender and place the ball where it needs to be placed for her teammates to score. She has solid court vision, and it shows in her style of play. Look for her to help the Lady Eagles compete not only for the district crown, but also go deep into the tournament. A floor general who leads by example, she gives it all she has on every possession. This kid is a worker and is always at the forefront of what this Stars program does. She gets after it on both ends of the floor and is the leading catalyst in many categories. From scoring and making assists to grabbing rebounds and blocking shots, her impact is felt throughout the game. She is a fierce competitor who is always all over the place trying to make a play. She has great size and speed and knows how to use her body in certain spots on the floor. She also has great footwork that enables her to utilize her quick release, especially in step-back situations. Battle-tested, she has grown her game over the years and has been fine-tuning it on the circuit. A kid who plays with a lot of heart and speed, she gets after it on both ends of the floor. A shifty downhill threat, she is going to find a way to get to the rim. If you happen to stop her drive, she is quick to get into her shooting position, where she can make the mid-range with ease and knock down the 3-ball. I love her tenacious defense. She is going to get steals like no other. This kid is tough and relentless, and will be one of the reasons PC goes deep this upcoming year. A fearless competitor, this kid gets after it. She does all the little things right and isn't afraid to put in the extra effort. Diving on the floor for loose balls, going out of bounds to save a ball, taking charges, little momentum shifters such as these- she is great at them. She has deceptive speed and can attack you at the drop of a dime. She can get to the rim, stop and pop, and knock it down from the arc. She's a hustler. One who will be looked upon to bring both energy and effort for the Lady Eagles. She's going to give it her all because that's all she knows how to do.
