More Young Reps on Reps Headline-Grabbers

The young talent in the building turned heads and grabbed the headlines in the process. There were dynamic guards who showed their skills, and versatile forwards who could do a little of everything. Here is another look at more youngsters who grabbed my attention at the Reps on Reps showcase.    [player_tooltip player_id='1249017' first='Angelina' last='Laudicina'] did a little of everything and showed why she is a top prospect in the 2029 class. The 6'2 guard knocked down her patented step-back three-point shot, played inside, dish out assists to her teammates, and blocked shots on the defensive end. Already holding some college offers, Laudicina continues to show why college programs are paying attention. Her ability to score, facilitate, rebound, and defend made her one of the top prospects in the building.     [player_tooltip player_id='1136120' first='Justice' last='Alderman'] was a beast at the showcase and didn't even go into her outside shooting bag. Her speed, quickness, and ability to get downhill and score or facilitate stood out. Her defensive pressure created turnovers all day, and she turned those plays into buckets. One sequence summed up her game: she pressured the ball handler, caused a turnover, filled the wing, received the pass, and finished with her left hand. For a young guard, Alderman's combination of speed, defensive intensity, playmaking, and ability to finish with either hand made her a "problem" on both ends of the floor. Alderman has shown potential to be one of the best shooters in her class. When she shoots it with faith, she is even more of a problem.     [player_tooltip player_id='1313650' first='Sophia' last='Bowdre'] was also a standout at the event. Her selfless play and playmaking abilities stood out. She has excellent court vision and repeatedly advanced the ball up the court with the pass. She can handle the ball and pull up in the midrange or shoot it from deep. Bowdre also competes on the defensive end of the floor and can cover any position on the perimeter.     [player_tooltip player_id='1851330' first='Gabbi' last='Promise'] showed plenty of flashes at the showcase, particularly with her ability to attack the rim. She has good handles and a quick first step going left, and she looked to get downhill nearly every time the ball touched her hands. The young guard also possesses one of the smoothest left-handed strokes in the 2030 class. She didn't pull the trigger on many outside shots at the showcase, but her ability to shoot the three is definitely in her bag. Her game is still developing, and the next step will be learning to utilize all of her gifts—including that special shooting touch. As Promise continues to blend her ability to attack the rim with her perimeter shooting, her offensive game will become much more difficult to defend.     [player_tooltip player_id='1363221' first='Kennedy' last='Jeffress'] was a standout at the showcase and showed plenty of versatility in her game. Jeffress is a ball-dominant point guard who showed she can also be effective playing off the ball.- something she did for much of the showcase. Her athleticism jumped off the page, and her ability in the transition game was among the best in her class. When Jeffress gets into the open court, her game really shines. She can push the pace, attack the basket, and use her athleticism to create scoring opportunities.       [player_tooltip player_id=‘1803280' first=‘Micaela' last=‘Cole'] was arguably one of the most efficient perimeter shooters at the showcase. Every time I saw her, she seemed to be knocking down a three, especially from the top of the key. Cole knows how to move without the ball and position herself for quality catch-and-shoot opportunities. Cole also has good size, which allows her to take her game inside and score around the rim with short jumpers and floaters. Her offensive game is advanced—she simply knows how to put the ball in the basket.     [player_tooltip player_id='1246604' first='Hayden' last='Warren'] was one of the most versatile young players in the building. Her poise and basketball IQ really stood out, and she found ways to make plays all over the court. Warren displayed excellent court vision, delivering some impressive dimes to cutting wings while also playing in sync with the forwards on the inside. She penetrated effectively, created opportunities for herself and others, and was especially impressive in transition- whether filling the lane, catching the full-court pass, or taking it coast to coast and finishing. Her ability to see the floor, make the right read, and contribute in multiple ways made Warren one of the more complete young players at the showcase.
