Sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what a player needs, and that means suiting up in a different uniform when the new season begins. With school now underway and rosters beginning to take shape, we're taking a look at some of the players who have found new homes this season. Whether they're looking for a bigger opportunity, joining a familiar coach, or simply finding a better fit, these moves have the potential to impact more than just the player making the change. Here's a look at some of the notable transfers and how their arrival could change the landscape for both their new teams and the players around them.

One of the biggest offseason transfers is Nation's move from Nevada to Lone Peak, and it could significantly change the landscape for the Knights. Lone Peak already has a guard game that is the envy of several teams across the state, but Nation gives them something different—a true center they can work through in the paint. Add in [player_tooltip player_id='952625' first='Peyton' last='Warner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='873282' first='Charli' last='Warner'] into the mix, and suddenly Lone Peak could attack teams both inside and out. Nation's presence should create more space for the guards, give them another option in the half-court, and make an already difficult lineup even tougher to match up with. Top off this roster with [player_tooltip player_id='804252' first='Madeline' last='Pope'] and a healthy [player_tooltip player_id='873278' first='Jordan' last='Moeaki'], and you could be looking at return state title holders.

Timpanogos is adding a player with the talent and potential to contribute immediately to an already solid roster. With young pieces joining her like [player_tooltip player_id='1575721' first='Holly' last='Fisher'] developing alongside the veteran leadership of [player_tooltip player_id='873756' first='Ellie' last='Adams'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796475' first='Makayla' last='Boyer'], there is already a strong foundation in place. This addition gives Timpanogos something it has been missing—more length. That added size and versatility should give the Timberwolves more options on both ends of the floor and could make an already intriguing roster even tougher to match up with.

Mountain Ridge lost a few pieces from last season's roster, opening the door for some new faces to step in and make an impact. For Cali, the move makes plenty of sense. Having already played club basketball for the Mountain Ridge head coach, she enters a familiar system with an established relationship and an understanding of what will be expected from her. Keeping her club and high school coaching under the same umbrella should make for a smooth transition and allow Cali to step into a meaningful role right away. She'll be joined by some players from her club team who were already at Mountain Ridge, [player_tooltip player_id='805789' first='Cailin' last='Kehl'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805788' first='Kaylee' last='Montgomery'].

West High

West is leveling up its roster with the addition of several players from programs across the state. [player_tooltip player_id='875181' first='Huni' last='Folau'] comes from Lone Peak, while [player_tooltip player_id='875185' first='Avery' last='Aiono'] is moving from Bingham, adding experience and talent to a group that is already getting stronger. Throw in an incoming freshman class that includes players like [player_tooltip player_id='1800505' first='Tyanna' last='Tapusoa'], who have chosen West as their high school destination, and the Panthers suddenly become a team worth watching closely. If all of those pieces come together, West could find itself contending for a region championship—and potentially something even bigger.

Mountain View High

This program started adding some important pieces last season with [player_tooltip player_id='873277' first='Tasi' last='Galeai'] and [player_tooltip player_id='997495' first='Liv' last='Rasmussen'], but with Tasi sidelined by injury, the new faces arriving this year become even more important. Add a new head coach and several players who followed him from Lehi, including [player_tooltip player_id='1902253' first='Harper' last='Brown'] and his own daughter, [player_tooltip player_id='1865663' first='Layla' last='Seastrand'], and this will be a team worth watching as all of those pieces come together. One of the biggest additions is [player_tooltip player_id='1049025' first='Amaiya' last='Kennerley'], who comes over from defending state champion Pleasant Grove after picking up multiple Division I offers this summer. Her arrival offers another high-level weapon and could help accelerate just how quickly this group becomes a serious contender.

Other Transfers

[player_tooltip player_id='1240994' first='Devrey' last='Downs'] - from Lehi to American Fork

[player_tooltip player_id='1902256' first='Sara' last='Rojas'] - from Lehi to Westlake

[player_tooltip player_id='805784' first='Harley' last='Sowby'] - from Lehi to Skyridge
