Hales will compete at UT Martin and she is going to be someone who can come in to lead that program. Hales stock over the last three years has risen to all time highs at this point. She is PG #1, who can lead her team by example while making everyone else around her better. That's the major takeaway for me here. She can make everyone else around her better. Gia Diaz-Doolin's ability to see the entire floor and hit her open teammates with an assist is eye opening. She isn't just giving out simple passes against bad defenders. We have seen her make cross-court passes with her off hand on the fly, we have seen her set up the pick and roll game to get her bigs open touches within the half court, and we have seen her leave defenders looking stupid while hitting her cutting teammates in transition. Don't get it wrong though - Diaz Doolin is good enough to get her own as well if need be. Which is saying something accounting for all of the others are/will be Division-1 athletes. Levin has that natural size that everyone loves at 5'11/6'0 already and she is only going into 8th grade. When you see her size and combined that with her ability to handle, score, pass, rebound, and defend - you see that she will have the chance to be the #1 2031 in Iowa, especially if she continues to grow. She is currently listed as a SG/CG but I would say she is going to be more of a PG/CG by the time she is on the Varsity floor. I'm not sure if Mayley will play Varsity this Winter but she should. She is definitely talented enough so it'll all come down to what the coaching staff and AD decide to do now that 8th graders can play up. Next Level Energy. Quick Thinking. Fast Acting. These are just some of the phrases used to describe Mikah Duke of CR Jefferson High School at the Guard position. Offensively, Duke has a nice shooting stroke off the bounce and catch. She is an able passer coming down the court and she is also pretty good at getting those around her set up in the right positions so that they can be successful. Leaders need to lead by example and Duke embodies that. She has a high energy type of play style, always looking to turn up the heat when she takes the floor. It's still early for the 2028 Class and Wright has D1 level options at this point in her journey. She has proven over the last two years that she is a Top 10 2028 throughout Iowa as a PG. The last year Wright had to shoot a little more than what she is used to but now that her Mount Vernon team has graduated that older PG - I expect Wright to take over that position permanently. She will still be looking to shoot it but now it'll just be from a different position. She will also have to bring the rock down the floor and launch their offense but that's not anything new to a prospect with this type of experience.
