Prep Girls Hoops Kentucky released its initial Class of 2030 rankings last week, featuring some of the top young talent from across the state. As we continue to dive deeper into the rankings, let's take a closer look at several prospects to watch this upcoming season as they prepare to make an impact during their freshman campaigns.

Haylee averaged 7.5 points per game and a team-leading 6.2 rebounds for the Lady Flyers last season. She does a lot of the dirty work and provides a physical presence inside on both ends of the floor, while also showing strong rebounding instincts. She will be the centerpiece for a Franklin County team that has a chance to make some noise in the 11th Region.

Another name I'm really high on heading into the season is Bourbon County's [player_tooltip player_id='1182115' first='Kendal' last='Hardin']. She is a player who has had some early buzz surrounding her and has the potential to be special. Kendal has excellent size and length to go along with a complete offensive package. I haven't had the chance to see her in person yet, but her film really jumped out to me. She is definitely a prospect to add to your radar.

DeMyiah was the anchor for Russellville as an eighth grader, leading the team in both scoring at 13.4 points per game and rebounding at 7.9 boards per game. She is a powerhouse inside and more athletic than she may appear at first glance. DeMyiah gets most of her offense in the painted area, where she uses her strength well, but she also has some shooting touch away from the basket. Defensively, she can guard inside and out, and she does a great job controlling the boards.

Harper is a productive forward who averaged 8.1 points per game and finished second on the team in rebounding at 6.5 boards per game, while also shooting an impressive 36% from behind the arc. She is super competitive and brings a lot of passion to the floor. At nearly 6'0”, Harper has good size, a versatile skill set, and rebounds the ball with tenacity. She is one of two talented freshmen at Clay County and has good upside. She is a prospect I'm very high on heading into the season.

A guard prospect to keep an eye on out of the 13th Region is [player_tooltip player_id='1871856' first='McKenzie' last='Fannin']. She appeared in all 33 games for a really good South Laurel team last season, averaging 6.8 points per game while shooting 40% from three with 40 made triples. McKenzie is a dead-eye shooter with good mechanics and also does a nice job distributing the basketball. I'm eager to see how her game continues to develop over the next few years.
