Dominant Post Play at The Expo: Kentucky

The Expo: Kentucky had some of the top post prospects in the state on display. Here's a look at the players who dominated the interior and made their presence felt throughout the event.    I was eager to get my first in-person look at [player_tooltip player_id='1831369' first='Charlotte' last='Galloway'], and she was as advertised. She stands every bit of 6'4” and moves very well for her size. Charlotte demonstrated good footwork and patience on the block and understands how to establish deep position. She can also put the ball on the floor and get downhill from the perimeter. I also liked how well she ran the rim and the versatility she showed defensively, as she can be moved all over the floor on that end. Sacred Heart has a superstar in the making.     Symone's high motor and competitive streak always stand out. She communicates well on the floor, plays with a level of energy that her teammates feed off of, and shows natural leadership qualities. She was hungry on the glass and provided her squad with a lot of extra possessions. She also sprinted the floor hard, making good use of her opportunities to score in transition. (Featured Image)     Scout showed plenty of versatility throughout The Expo. She was a busy on the boards and made the most of her touches in the paint. I also watched her bring the ball up and initiate the offense, showing confidence with the ball in her hands. She made clever cuts to the basket, moved well without the ball, and showed the ability to guard multiple positions defensively.     Hannah is a steady 6'3 post presence who can be a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. She displayed strength battling for post position, along with remarkable hands catching entry passes, and finished at a high rate around the basket. She also has shooting range that extends out to the three-point line and timed her blocks perfectly on defense.     Ava was another post player that really stood out. She set solid screens, rolled hard to the basket, and tracked down rebounds whenever they were within reach. She also showed the ability to finish with touch around the rim. After putting together a big freshman season, Ava looks poised to take another step as a sophomore. She is still just scratching the surface of her potential.     Caroline has impressive size and length and moves very well for her size. She is agile, gets up and down the floor with ease, and I like how willing she is to rebound the ball. She also flashed a soft shooting touch from the mid-range. She is a 2028 post prospect to track as she continues to develop.
