695 Hoops presented the Harbor2Capital Hardwood Showcase at the Indian Creek School. The targeted invite only event featured unsigned juniors and seniors participating in high intensity drills and live game action that was played out in front of college coaches. The competition was solid and the coaches were actively viewing in search of talent to bring in to their program. Of course PGH and NSP were on hand to report all of the action. Here are some players that we need to known from the event.

Kyra showed herself to be a good finisher with a nice touch around the basket. That touch also carried over to her jumper, where she looked comfortable knocking down the set shot from the mid-range.

She also showed the ability to stretch the floor by stepping out and connecting from three-point range. Having that combination of finishing ability and shooting touch gives Kyra some versatility offensively. She can take advantage of opportunities around the basket while also being a threat when the defense gives her space on the perimeter.

As she continues to develop her ability to create off the dribble and attack closeouts, her shooting range and natural touch give her a solid foundation to build on.

Myah moved really well for her size, consistently getting up and down the floor during the five-on-five games. She showed that she is more than just a paint presence, pulling up for a smooth 13-foot jumper in transition and displaying some offensive touch just outside of the lane.

Inside, Myah showed multiple ways to score. She was able to finish with the hook shot and also went to a turnaround jumper, giving her options when operating with her back to the basket. Her ability to score over either shoulder and step away from the rim for the mid-range jumper makes her a more difficult matchup for opposing post players.

Her combination of size, mobility, and touch stood out. As she continues to develop her footwork and expand her range, Myah has the tools to become an increasingly versatile interior scoring threat.

Josephine showed a good drop-step move that she used effectively to create space and finish inside. She also attacked hard and strong from the free-throw line area, putting the ball on the floor with purpose and using her size and strength to get toward the basket.

She showed good shooting form from beyond the arc, although I would have liked to see a few more attempts to get a better measure of her perimeter game. The mechanics looked solid and suggested there may be another dimension to her offense that she can continue to develop.

Josephine already showed that she can make plays around the paint and attack from the mid-range area. If the three-point shot becomes a consistent part of her game, it could add another layer to her offensive versatility and make her more difficult to defend.

My overall feel on Eva was that she simply found ways to make plays. Whether it was coming up with a steal, getting a hand on the ball for a deflection, or making a hustle play, she consistently found a way to get involved in the action and impact possessions.

Offensively, Eva finished very well when she got the ball in the paint. She showed good control around the basket and took advantage of her opportunities when the ball came her way. She didn't need the offense to run through her to make her presence felt.

Players who consistently make effort plays can have an impact beyond the stat sheet, and that was what stood out about Eva. She stayed active, competed, and found different ways to contribute on both ends of the floor.

Brooklyn is a long-range sniper, and at some point you just knew the barrage was coming. Once she found her rhythm, the three-pointers began to rain down. She knocked down shot after shot and became an immediate threat as soon as the ball touched her hands. Her range forces defenders to account for her well beyond the three-point line, creating additional space for everyone on the floor.

What impressed me was that Brooklyn wasn't just a shooter. She showed a complete game, getting her teammates involved and making the right plays when the defense focused its attention on taking away her shot. She understood when to look for her own offense and when to move the ball to create opportunities for others.

Brooklyn also made an impact on the defensive end, where she competed and locked things down. The combination of high-level perimeter shooting, unselfish play, and defensive effort made her much more than a one-dimensional scoring threat. When her shot gets rolling, she can change the complexion of a game in a hurry.
