MBA Fall League: Tough Finishes Around the Rim

Week 2 of the MBA Fall League brought local high school teams to MSA Woodland for another night of fall basketball. Throughout the night, several players showed their ability to attack the basket and finish tough opportunities around the rim. Whether it came in transition, off the bounce, through contact, or by battling inside, these players consistently found ways to convert in traffic and make their trips to the rim count.    Elli, a 2027 forward from Cedar Springs, was helping out East Grand Rapids during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League. She showed her ability to get downhill and finish in different ways around the basket, including a nice up-and-over move and a strong slash where she caught the ball in traffic and converted. Elli also made an impact away from the rim, coming up with a steal before knocking down a three on the other end. With her versatility and ability to impact the game in multiple areas, I see Elli having a big senior season. She already has offers on the table, and I'm excited to see where she ultimately chooses to continue her career at the next level.     Keira, a Bethel commit from Grand Rapids Christian, put together a strong showing during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League. She used a quick crossover to create separation and get past her defender, attacking the basket and finishing well around the rim. On the defensive end, Keira used her length to bother opponents and showed active hands, forcing multiple tie-ups. Her ability to make an impact on both ends was on display throughout the night.     Molly, a 2028 wing from Forest Hills Northern who already holds multiple Division I offers, showed her versatility during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League. She was effective attacking off the slash, using her strength to absorb contact and still finish around the rim. Molly also did a nice job sealing defenders to establish position and was productive on the glass. Defensively, she showed active hands and found ways to disrupt possessions. She also stretched the floor by knocking down shots from behind the arc, adding another dimension to an already well-rounded game.     Kendall, a 2028 wing for Rockford who already holds Division I offers, made her presence felt around the rim during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League. She consistently ran the floor hard in transition and was rewarded with several scoring opportunities, showing reliable hands on the catch before finishing through traffic. Kendall also showed her ability to get downhill in the half court and use her size and strength around the basket. She was active on the glass as well, adding to a strong all-around showing.     Lakelyn, a senior guard for Hudsonville, showed her ability to attack the basket during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League. She got downhill consistently and displayed good body control in the lane, allowing her to navigate traffic and create opportunities around the rim. Lakelyn also contributed on the defensive end with multiple blocks and was active on the glass. With offers already on the table, she should be in line for a big senior season, and I'm excited to see where she ultimately chooses to continue her career at the next level.
