Elite prospects leave no room for doubt that they belong in a higher category when they step onto the court. Molly made it clear that she was the best prospect in the gym at the Au Sable Shootout. She was outright dominant, playing with fierce determination in every phase of the game. Molly towers over players with her 6-foot-plus frame, which combines with her guard skills and mobility to make her a unique prospect. She used a jab step to create a lane, attacked down the baseline, side-stepped a defender, switched hands mid-air, and scored the layup. Molly ripped the ball away from an opponent and blocked several shots with tenacity inside. She took one dribble down the baseline and finished a tough, contested inside-hand finish. Molly drove hard to the rim and used her length to score an under-the-arm inside-hand finish for the and-one, then tacked on the free throw. She was deadly from beyond the arc, sinking many threes at a high clip from the wing, up top, and the corner. Two plays really stood out among the rest. Molly grabbed a defensive rebound, peeked up at the clock and noticed the seconds winding down, took a couple dribbles, then threaded a bullet bounce pass through a small window between defenders to a teammate for the buzzer-beating layup. High IQ play, understanding time and situation. Molly’s day could be summed up when she swatted a shot away aggressively, secured the rebound, immediately pushed the ball up the court using both hands with a look of fierce determination in her eyes, split the gap heading straight to the rim, and finished the contested layup with strength. Nobody was going to stop her in that moment. Molly had a memorable day, and I’m happy I was there to see it.

Molly turned the heads of PGH scouts from Ohio and Indiana at the Great Lakes Kickoff. Her length, athleticism, and versatile scoring particularly made an impression. Molly can attack a defender’s foot for a drive-by and punish teams from the perimeter with her confident three-point shooting. Molly will be one of Michigan’s top guard-wing prospects in the gym at the PGH MI College Tour III, and her impact will be big for MBA UAA 17U tomorrow.

Molly Sietsema can definitely play at the highest level. She has great size and length, which immediately stand out, but what makes her even more intriguing is her ability to score the basketball in a variety of ways. She doesn’t rely on just one aspect of her game—she’s a true offensive threat.
In this game, she did a really good job of shooting the basketball, consistently knocking down shots and forcing the defense to extend and respect her range. That ability alone makes her tough to guard, but what really separates her is how she complements it with her quickness. When defenders closed out too hard, she was able to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim effectively.
Her combination of size, skill, and mobility creates matchup problems. Smaller defenders struggle with her length, while bigger defenders have a hard time keeping up with her on the perimeter. That versatility is what allows her to impact the game at a high level.
As she continues to develop and add more consistency to her game, she has all the tools to be a high-level player.

Molly, a sophomore guard for FHN, delivered a huge scoring performance to help lift her team to a district championship win over Northview. She poured in 29 points and knocked down three shots from beyond the arc, providing a steady offensive spark throughout the game. Molly showed the ability to score at multiple levels, stretching the defense with her perimeter shooting while also attacking the basket and finishing at the rim. On the other end of the floor, she used her length to disrupt opponents and pulled down key rebounds, making an impact well beyond the scoring column in the title-clinching victory.

Molly secured the #1 ranking for small forward/wing in the state. With length and mobility that create an advantage on both ends of the court, Molly has the physical measurables and fundamental skills needed to be a highly recruited wing-guard at the next level. She has the D1 offers from Akron State and Murray State to back it up and hasn’t reached her ceiling yet.

Molly’s confidence, competitiveness, and aggressiveness made her an impact player on both ends for MBA GUAA 2028 at the Select Super Showcase. One of her highlight reel plays happened when she sealed her defender, used a quick spin move, and finished with her left hand for the and-one layup–tacked on the free throw. Molly used a fake-pass move to cause a foul on a drive and showed her perimeter range with a smooth wing three. Molly looked more guard/wing at the tournament, and she recently picked up an offer from Akron. An even bigger sophomore campaign for Forest Hills Northern appears on the horizon.
