The 2026 Expo gave more than 100 prospects the opportunity to compete in front of PGH scouts and college coaches representing the D2, D3, NAIA, NCCAA, and JUCO levels. Throughout the four-hour event, players competed in predetermined 3v3 and 5v5 matchups, creating plenty of opportunities to showcase different areas of their game. Every player who competed at the event receives post-event coverage, along with social media exposure and evaluations from the Prep Girls Hoops staff. The format also gave players the chance to compete alongside talented players from across the state while receiving instruction from different college coaches. My coverage throughout the day focused on Teams 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9. Here is a closer look at what I saw from the players on Team 7 at The Expo:

Alyssa, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, brought good activity and effort around the ball throughout the day. She worked the offensive glass, tracking down multiple rebounds and converting one of those extra opportunities with a putback at the rim. Defensively, Alyssa showed active hands, getting involved on possessions and creating tie-ups to prevent the offense from getting a clean look. She also showed her ability to attack off the dribble, using a strong baseline rip to get past her defender and create an advantage toward the basket.

Taylor, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day and consistently showed the skill set of a high-level playmaking guard. During 3v3 action, she was dishing out dimes, seeing plays develop and delivering passes that put her teammates in position to score. That playmaking carried over into 5v5, where Taylor continued to display next-level passing ability and excellent court vision. She was especially impressive with her post-entry passing, finding the right angles and delivering the ball where her post players could immediately go to work. Taylor was a scoring threat as well, knocking down a smooth mid-range jumper and connecting on multiple threes from different areas of the floor while showing impressive range. Her handle was another major part of her game, as she played with plenty of shiftiness and used a hesitation dribble to freeze her defender before blowing by her. Between her shooting range, handle, vision, and ability to create quality looks for others, Taylor put together one of the more impressive guard performances I watched at The Expo.

Lily, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day with the impact she made on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she showed a well-rounded scoring game, knocking down shots from behind the arc, connecting on a mid-range jumper, and using a soft floater when attacking the lane. Lily also created separation off the dribble with a quick crossover that allowed her to get by defenders and put pressure on the defense. She showed good vision in the open floor as well, delivering several well-timed passes in transition to create scoring opportunities for her teammates. On the other end, Lily was a tough on-ball defender who made opposing guards work for everything, applying consistent pressure and making it difficult for them to get comfortable. Her combination of scoring, playmaking, ball handling, and defense made her one of the more complete guards I watched throughout the day.

Lillianne, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, brought good activity to both ends of the floor. Defensively, she showed active hands and good anticipation, reading the offense and jumping passing lanes to disrupt possessions. On the offensive end, Lillianne showed she could handle contact around the basket, absorbing it while staying under control at the rim. She also ran the floor well in transition, getting ahead of the defense, catching the ball in rhythm, and smoothly converting with a scoop layup.

Hadleigh, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day with the presence she established in the paint. The post player consistently worked to earn position inside, using strong seals to give her teammates a clear target and showing reliable hands when the ball was delivered into traffic. Once she caught it, Hadleigh displayed good footwork around the rim, staying composed and using her positioning to create scoring opportunities. She was also a factor on the glass, competing for rebounds on both the offensive and defensive ends and helping extend possessions with her work on the offensive boards. Defensively, Hadleigh protected the paint and recorded multiple blocks throughout the day. Her ability to establish position, rebound, finish around the basket, and provide rim protection made her a consistent presence inside.

Charlotte, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, was the only 2030 prospect in attendance and showed a lot of confidence competing against older players. During 3v3 action, she consistently worked to seal her defender and establish position inside. That effort carried over into 5v5, where Charlotte continued battling for position in the paint and wasn't afraid to call for the ball when she earned an advantage. She competed well on the glass at both ends, pursuing offensive rebounds for extra possessions while also helping finish defensive stops with a rebound. Charlotte's motor showed up away from the basket as well, as she made multiple hustle plays and was willing to get on the floor after loose balls. For the youngest player in the gym, she showed she was ready to compete and do the work inside against older competition.

Addison, playing on Team 7 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day and impacted the game in a variety of ways. She showed her range by knocking down multiple shots from behind the arc, but was just as effective putting pressure on the defense off the dribble. Addison used her quick first step to create advantages, including a strong slash that she finished with a floater. She also showed some creativity around the basket with an impressive pass fake that shifted the defense before she finished the play herself. In transition, Addison ran the floor hard and showed her athleticism with a tough finish in traffic. She rebounded well from the guard position and made a significant impact defensively with active hands and her ability to challenge shots. Addison recorded a big block on the perimeter and added several more around the rim, showing impressive timing and defensive versatility for a guard. Her combination of perimeter shooting, athleticism, attacking ability, rebounding, and defensive playmaking made her one of the more impactful players I watched at The Expo.
