PGH Indiana's The Expo: A Look at Team-3

For me, it was a great way to see some of the state's 2027s and 2028s in one location, especially with them having traveled all over the Midwest/country during the Grassroots season. Below is a quick look at everyone who participated on Team-3.   .   TEAM-3:    Avery is a strong, physical forward who also possesses good skill all over the court. She plays with a nice motor, she battles bigger opponents inside defensively and on the boards, but she also has good skill offensively in the mid-post facing the basket. She can attack from there, knock down the 15-footer, and even post smaller defenders. Additionally, she has extended her range and skill to the perimeter, so she is comfortable outside. I think her sheer motor will attract several small colleges.     LaPorte has a nice youth movement going on, and Hayley has established herself as someone who can really help them inside the arc. She is very strong, willing to be physical, plus she outworks most of her matchups. She has good hands, solid footwork, and she can finish in different ways around the rim. She is a box-out rebounder, a solid defender all over, and she makes hustle plays other girls won't. I think several small colleges will appreciate her toughness, and her "culture" style of play.     Paisley is a very intriguing wing prospect with a tremendous amount of length. She is a fluid, almost smooth athlete North/South, plus she possesses solid quickness as well. Sunday, she showed some touch outside, the ability to put it on the floor and slice to the basket, plus she was effective defensively, utilizing length to disrupt things. I really think if she can continue being a consistent perimeter shooter, she has the understanding of the game to potentially be a combo guard as well and help run offense.     Siona is a very strong wing prospect who can do so many things on the floor. First, she plays with a tremendous motor and is constantly moving. She likes physicality, and she applies it defensively, when rebounding, and on attack at the offensive end of the floor. She can handle it and initiate the offense like a point forward, she has some touch around the perimeter, plus she is almost automatic in the mid-post. I feel like she has a lot of intangible qualities to be able to help successful small college programs.     Two years ago, Jhordyn attended our PGH Freshman Showcase, and you could see a great deal of potential in her. Since then, she has grown a couple of inches, gotten much stronger, and she's playing with a relentlessness offensively. She has tremendous length, speed, and a little bounce as well. She is a multilevel scorer who can knock down shots outside or slice to the basket. Just the difference in how she's able to absorb contact now has made her a much different and more effective type of scorer.     There was not a #578 in the roster packet handed out at the beginning of the event, so I am working on figuring out who this is. In the meantime, this prospect played with a great amount of energy, speed, and quickness. She was very quick laterally and did a really nice job of defending the ball, plus she had nice length at her height. Offensively, she seemed to be in solid control with the ball in her hands, and she looked more than comfortable initiating the offense, creating offense, and scoring it herself around the basket. She also knocked down a couple of perimeter jumpers when set and in rhythm.
