Avery is a strong, physical forward who also possesses good skill all over the court. She plays with a nice motor, she battles bigger opponents inside defensively and on the boards, but she also has good skill offensively in the mid-post facing the basket. She can attack from there, knock down the 15-footer, and even post smaller defenders. Additionally, she has extended her range and skill to the perimeter, so she is comfortable outside. I think her sheer motor will attract several small colleges.

Avery is another nice inside-out forward who could see her opportunity take off this year following graduations at Hamilton Southeastern. She has nice length, she’s a solid all-around athlete, but she also has good strength and plays with a nice motor. She is willing to be physical, defend/rebound inside, and make hustle plays. However, she has worked on her face-up game and can knock down open jumpers when set and in rhythm. Again, she could have a nice Senior season, but she’s also a solid small college prospect.

Watching her this past weekend, she did an excellent job controlling the ball and consistently splitting defenders to get downhill and finish at the rim. As she enters her final year, competing on the Puma Circuit should give her great exposure, and with the way she’s playing, she’s a strong candidate to start picking up offers soon.

Avery Losh Avery Losh 5'10" | PF/SF Hamilton Southeastern | 2027 IN brings something to this HSE JV group that every successful program needs: experience. Coming off a season where HSE dropped just one game, she understands what it takes to win and carries herself with the composure of a player who has been in big moments before.

Avery continues to improve her offensive game, showing confidence as a shooter while also becoming more effective at getting to the rim. Her ability to score in multiple ways adds balance to HSE’s lineup, and her decision-making helps keep the offense steady when the pace picks up.

She also dresses for varsity, which is an important step in her development and gives her valuable exposure to the speed and physicality of the next level. That experience translates back to JV, where she plays a leadership role for a young and talented roster. Avery’s presence, both as a scorer and a leader, is a major factor in HSE’s strong start—and she’s positioning herself for another impactful season as she continues to grow.

Avery Losh Avery Losh 5'10" | PF/SF Hamilton Southeastern | 2027 IN is steadily carving out her own identity on the court, and she showcased a lot of her abilities during the 5-on-5 session at the showcase. One of her most noticeable strengths is her ability to heat up quickly from beyond the arc. When she gets going, she can stretch the floor and create significant scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. Offensively, Avery demonstrates a strong sense of timing and court awareness. She makes smart reads, positioning herself to either pull up for a shot or drive to the rim effectively. A detail that stands out in her game is her technique when receiving the ball—she consistently shows her hands before catching, whether she’s preparing to shoot or pass. This subtle skill helps the offense flow smoothly and is something that is not always common at this stage. As she enters her junior season at Hamilton Southeastern, Avery projects to be a valuable contributor off the bench for the Royals. With the graduation of a talented class, her ability to shoot, handle the ball, and make quick decisions in transition or half-court settings will be important for the team’s success. With continued development, she has the potential to expand her role and become a consistent scoring threat.
