PGH Wisconsin The Expo Team One Evaluations: Part Two

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Expo was in the books, and we saw a talented crop of players who travelled to Appleton, through the fog, to play some basketball on Sunday Morning. Over the next week or so, we will look at the high school players and highlight what they brought to the floor during the 5v5 portion of the event. We had over 80 players at the Expo, and we will highlight what each of them did to stand out in their minutes. Northrup did an impressive job defending around the basket and making life difficult for opposing players. She played away from the ball and complemented the players around her. She has the athleticism and length to defend multiple positions and make plays on the ball. Her length stood out defensively, and she has the lateral quickness to stay in front of her assignment defensively. She has the speed and motor to make plays as an on-ball defender and frustrate opposing guards bringing the ball up the floor. She also showed a willingness to put her body on the line and dive on the floor after loose balls. No defense can speed her up, and she gets to her spots offensively. Peterson can score from all three levels and create open looks for her teammates when defenses collapse on her. She takes what defenses give her and makes the right play every time she has the ball. She doesn't get too high or low emotionally, but she does bring an edge to the floor when she's out there.
