PGH Wisconsin The Expo Team Two Evaluations: Part Two

The Expo was in the books, and we saw a talented crop of players who traveled to Appleton through the fog to play basketball on Sunday Morning. Over the next week or so, we will look at the high school players and highlight what they brought to the floor during the 5v5 portion of the event. We had over 80 players at the Expo, and we will highlight what each did to stand out in their minutes. Let's talk about Team Two.

Gutierrez is a hard-nosed player who made extra-effort plays on both ends of the court. She worked well off the ball and cut to the rim when her defender lost track of her. However, what impressed me most about the Kenosha native was her rebounding. She crashed the offensive glass hard and corralled a few boards, earning her team extra possessions.

The Laconia guard is a skilled kid who can excel in either backcourt role. She's gotten more comfortable with the ball in her hands and getting to her spots off the dribble. She can score from all three levels and had an excellent day shooting from beyond the arc. Redman also has the length to make an impact defensively.

The Sun Prairie native is a physical guard who can switch and defend post players. She has the strength to hold her own around the basket and give her coach options on how to defend ball screens. I also liked her decision-making offensively. She didn't waste time and kept the ball moving on the perimeter to help her team get the best shot they could.

The Kaukauna native has improved a lot since I first saw her before her freshman season. Lensmire is a confident kid offensively and handled the ball better than I'd seen before. I also thought she shot with plenty of confidence, and the results backed it up. She's a kid to keep an eye on this winter for the Galloping Ghosts.

The West Salem native is a physical interior player who wants to play through contact around the basket. Hendrickson can play in a crowd and rebound or score depending on the situation. I also like that she's willing to do more on the perimeter in an environment like Appleton. She showed she had the confidence to take perimeter jumpers when she was open, and it didn't look that bad. She has the skill set to develop that part of her game and be an inside-out threat.
