About Aubrey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I take pride in my defense and communication. I feel the most comfortable driving in and finishing with post moves down low. I also am constantly aware of where my teammates are on the court and believe in teamwork.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe anything is possible if I put my mind to it and work hard. I easily get along with people and enjoy making new friendships. I am very encouraging and supportive to my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received an Outstanding Achievement award in honor of academic excellence. I am a member of Key club which is involved in volunteering and community service.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a big advocate for teamwork because everyone needs to be involved to be successful. I also take charge and keep everyone on task when placed in groups at school. I would love the opportunity to be more of a leader on the court. I will be doing volunteering through Key club and I enjoy helping others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

This year I have been struggling with some health issues but I am determined to play through whatever. I recently connected with a doctor who thinks he can help. So I’m optimistic that I’ll get through this and become an even better player.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college where I feel safe to grow as a student and an athlete. I would like to have a good connection with my coach and teammates. I prefer a place where I can get to know my classmates and professors. Right now I am trying to keeping an open mind to all possibilities.

However, it feels like she’s turned a corner offensively and is comfortable with the ball in her hands and creating her shot off the dribble. Lensmire has the length to be a matchup problem for most defenses, and if she can find her groove on the offensive end, she becomes a different player than she has been in the past.

Aubrey always seemed to be in the right spot, whether that was fighting for rebounds, or establishing strong post position where she showed the ability to finish with either hand through contact. One of the better rebounders, at The Expo, she looks ready for battle in the loaded FVA!

Aubrey showed to be one of the better rebounders, specifically on the offensive glass, that I saw. Always seeming to know where to position herself, her effort made the difference in keeping several plays alive. Offensively she impressed me, on one occasion, using her off-hand to finish over a good defender after a tough board.
