September's Surging Sophomore List

This is September's surging sophomore list. Essentially, these're 16 players whose stock should be watched. They've all been carrying some sort of momentum from their first season touching the floor. Beaver is going to solid production out of her. She's going to be a solid sophomore to bank on.     [player_tooltip player_id='1055935' first='Tori' last='White'] (2029) | PG/SG |   Tori's stock has gone up since entering the '29 class. There'll be real value added to the backcourt with her addition to WA. Any young guard that gets a chance to sharpen their iron against experienced upperclassmen teammates in practice will usually end up shaping out nicely.     [player_tooltip player_id='1217932' first='Leila' last='Acevedo'] (2029) | CG |   Acevedo is a balanced shooter that can also find others in tough spaces and finish with soft touches at the rim. Leila has bold qualities that don't fade under pressure.     [player_tooltip player_id='1217983' first='Kelsey' last='Clark'] (2029) |   Clark has the open opportunity to take a leap this year. She's a flexible piece that can definitely serve as an x-factor type in her sophomore year. She's a budding talent for NR that'll have even more plays called for her and be able to execute.     [player_tooltip player_id='1217952' first='Brooke' last='Reddicks'] (2029) | SF |   Reddicks has the ideal size, length, agility, motor and hustle from a wing/forward. She can defend multiple positions plus is highly effective on the weakside boards. Brooke brings a lot of value to the table.     Jaizzlyn Santiagao (2029) | PG |   Even though Santiago slipped in ranking position, that doesn't mean she should be left out to conversations like these. She'll be a watchlist player for her sheer firepower alone. This is a player that has the potential to change the momentum in an instant when she's in a flow.     [player_tooltip player_id='1263961' first='Daisy' last='Jane Berg'] (2029) |   One of the most dynamic young VT guards in her class. DJB has the potency to change the outcome of games if not properly guarded. She's liable to get hot at any moment. She's a point generator that's going to have the ball in her hands a considerable amount of time. Daisy couldn't be left off this list.     [player_tooltip player_id='351272' first='Kaylis' last='Diaz'] (2029) | SF/PF |   Kaylis started her career at Mansfield and then transferred to MSCA. The move has given her more opportunity to grow as a complete player. There wasn't as much noise surrounding Diaz as others this summer, but she has the exact traits to make an instant impact in hs hoops. Kaylis should be poised to come out swinging; she's flat-out one of the fiercest competitors in the entire class. Lily has the potential to really shoot up the board with an uptick in her production as her minutes increase. Elwood has great command of the offense and facilitates at a high-level no natter the type of defenders in front of her. She does a great job of identifying the open player plus Jordyn is very coachable. Her ability to process, read and dissect defenses makes her a watchlist '29 player this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1320164' first='Santanaa' last='Hamelin'] (2029) | PG |   Hamelin may be one of the most exciting RI prospects in her class. Her sophomore season will be highly anticipated due to her stellar freshman year. A ramp in production while leading her team far again would mean she should be in conversations with the other top regional guards in '29.     [player_tooltip player_id='1217915' first='Yara' last='Soufan'] (2029) | PG/SG |   Soufan isn't afraid of the moment by any means, she actually relishes the opportunity to show shy she's a bigtime player. Her ability to shift the defense and serve as shooter or a playmaker make her an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1217933' first='Adrianna' last='Noka'] (2029) | PG/SG |   Noka will be incredibly useful as she earns more minutes due to her hustle, attitude and selflessness. Adrianna is a piece that's conducive to winning basketball.     [player_tooltip player_id='1858574' first='Ava' last='Buffington'] (2029) | PF/SF |   Buffington can do a touch of everything. What's impressive is her flashes of impactful drives off the wings plus her ability to connect from distance. No matter what position she'll play in hs hoops, Ava should be an impactful player.     [player_tooltip player_id='1868666' first='Kristen' last='Weber'] (2029) | PF |   Weymouth must be excited to see the growth from Weber. She can be utilized in any ways this season. Her hustle in route to rebounds and leadership skills are standout qualities for a young player.
