Gabby Webby connected on a step-back three-pointer, and that was all I needed to see. At 6’1, Webber also stood out just with her ability to handle the ball and get up and down the court and attack the rim off the bounce. She stood out with her ability to impact the game in multiple areas of the court. She can stretch the floor, create with the ball in her hands, and use her size advantage when shooting over smaller defenders and attacking the basket. Webber was also a playmaker, and one play comes to mind. She grabs a rebound and goes coast to coast. At gthe last moment, she throws a perfect bounce pass to a guard on the wing for a beautiful layup. Webber can play multiple positions and do so at a high rate. She is a special young player in the making.

Gabby possesses the length and natural tools that make her an intriguing long-term prospect in the 2029 class. She consistently used her reach to keep possessions alive by tipping loose balls to teammates, disrupted passing lanes with active ball-side hand deflections, and turned defense into offense with a steal that she finished with her left hand in transition. As she continues to get stronger, mature physically, and play with greater confidence, her combination of length, instincts, and versatility gives her the foundation to become one of the more coveted prospects in the class.

Gabby’s size, length, and athleticism stand out immediately when she steps on the floor. She used those physical tools to impact the game in a variety of ways. On the offensive end, she made a strong backdoor cut and finished at the rim by showing good timing and awareness. On defense, she was active in passing lanes and came away with steals by anticipating the action. Her length was also a major factor on the glass as she secured rebounds on both ends and tipped balls to teammates or herself to keep possessions alive. What impressed me most was the upside she possesses. With her combination of physical tools and developing skill set, she has the potential to become a very intriguing prospect as she continues to grow her game.

Gabriel Webber’s name surfaced before I could even walk into the gym. A college coach was already talking about the young forward from Eastside before I could settle in. I made a beeline for her game, and the young forward did not disappoint. Webber is a quality young prospect with a confident, rhythmic jump shot that she takes without hesitation. She does an excellent job shooting off the catch and shoots the three at a high rate of efficiency. Her ability to space the floor and consistently knock down shots makes her a valuable offensive weapon and one of the more intriguing young prospects in the front court
