Bertel was a gamechanger that kept everyone guessing what she would do next. A player that can get to the basket and hit the gaps with her quickness. Great handles that allow her to slash through the defense and not be guarded. She shot the ball well from outside but was able to get a lot of open looks due to her defender not wanting to push up in her space. Once you pressure her, she knows how to get you on her hip and get pass you.

Keren was one of the more difficult guards to contain by using her size, strength, and skill to score at multiple levels. The big guard showcased a polished midrange game with a smooth pull-up jumper and an effective spin move that helped her create separation in traffic. She consistently maneuvered her way to the rim by using her body to absorb contact and finish through defenders. Keren also played with a physical edge, battling for position and boxing out on the glass. Her combination of size, shot creation, and ability to score at will made her one of the more impressive offensive performers I watched.

Keren brings a strong, fundamental skill set to the floor and shows the ability to be crafty and composed with the ball in her hands. She can create her own shot effectively by using pace and control to get to her spots, and finishes with a soft touch around the rim. At 5’10, she uses her size well on both ends and holds her own defensively while also creating advantages offensively. With her feel for the game and ability to produce in multiple ways, Keren continues to show steady promise in the 2029 class.

Keren is a new name in Florida, but she brings international experience and was named to the U16 AmeriCup First Team alongside Eve Long, Ivanna Wilson, and Avery Arije. She already has a strong frame and is a tough, versatile athlete at a young age. Keren has a chance to be very special in Florida’s 2029 class as a backcourt option that can do a little bit of everything.

Keren has a strong frame with good size for a freshman. She showed the ability to impact the game on both ends, including protecting the rim with timely shot blocks. She knocked down multiple three-point shots and displayed strong off-ball instincts by converting a well-timed backcut for a layup when her defender overplayed. Keren brings added value to ACFL with international playing experience representing Colombia.
