Southeast Elite Showcase Fall Ball Session II: Youth Movement

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A story of every high school basketball season is the number of young players that emerge and showcase that they belong on the same court as more experienced competition.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A number of those names were on hand at the recently completed Southeast Elite Showcase Fall Ball Session II which emanated from SCISA 4A school Ben Lippen.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We at Prep Girls Hoops were also in attendance for the day's festivities. In earlier articles, we placed lenses on the senior, junior and sophomore classes. Stovall appears to be a centerpiece of said rebuild. She already has varsity experience from her middle school days as she played in 18 games last season for the Bengals. Her all-around playmaking abilities are a strong indication she is ready to embrace the “next woman up” mentality that will be a key for the 2026-27 version of the Bengals. Myers is returning to Sumter after she began her career in Gamecocks gold and blue as a seventh grader. Myers is a consistent threat to place points on the board and approaches the game with a high basketball IQ which is not always present in younger players. Kelly previously played at Hand MS (a Dreher feeder school) and is more than ready for the high school ranks. Her ability to place points on the board from all three levels will serve her very well at the high school level. When considering which 2030s could put together a breakout freshman campaign, Kelly ought to be in that conversation. She is another embracing a “next woman up” mentality after Ben Lippen was on the wrong end of transfer developments over the offseason. McEntire has an accurate 3-point shot but she also fuses together talent with toughness. She has no problems attacking the rim directly at defenders in an effort to draw contact to give her team chances at the free throw line. She competed in 27 contests last season in Ben Lippen's signature green and gold hues.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
