Stars Fall League: Wednesday High Level Prospects + Game Recaps

There were several high level prospects able to leave their marks on Wednesday night during week 3 of the Stars Fall League. Here we will take a look at each of those players and recap the night of action from the Upstate. From top ranked players to little known prospects this article has it all. For more coverage click the link below for Tuesday nights recap!   <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/09/stars-fall-league-prospects-making-noise-game-recaps/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/09/stars-fall-league-prospects-making-noise-game-recaps/">Tuesday Night Fall League Recap</a>   Brynes vs. Spartanburg   Spartanburg vs. Brynes kicked off our night of action with [player_tooltip player_id='925560' first='Ashlyn' last='Evans'] leading the way in a matchup of some of the top local guards in the 2027 class. Evans is a high level prospect that was able to nearly single-handedly keep Spartanburg at bay. With the game tied 26-20 at half Ashlyn took control in the second half on her way to multiple tough and 1's. Running mates for the night [player_tooltip player_id='1605714' first='Kesiah' last='Salmon'] controlled the paint and was responsible for the bulk of the points outside of Ashlyn; while new transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1231037' first='Bella' last='Stadler'] provided ball handling against the Spartanburg pressure. Spartanburg guards [player_tooltip player_id='1318786' first='De'Asia' last='Bridges'] and [player_tooltip player_id='674610' first='Azaria' last='Sims'] left their mark on the game for Spartanburg. In the first half Azaria scored 10 straight points to close the half to bring Spartanburg within 6 at 26-20. In the second half De'Asia really got going and scored or assisted on nearly every possession for Spartanburg. In the end though it was Ashlyn's late basket to seal the game. Final 43-33 with Brynes taking the win.   Westside vs. Blue Ridge   This game was played on completely opposite sides of the spectrum. On one hand Westside with a big post advantage and guards who attacked the basket all night. On the other, a Blue Ridge team that hunted 3's and easy transition baskets to stay in the game. The final went to Westside 45-37 with Westside's many weapons being too much for Blue Ridge to overcome. 6'5" [player_tooltip player_id='324541' first='Khalia' last='Hartwell'] and 6'3" [player_tooltip player_id='1361793' first='Brooke' last='Bryant'] dominated inside while transfer [player_tooltip player_id='610424' first='Jade' last='Hailstock'] operated alongside [player_tooltip player_id='921724' first='Tiana' last='Marshall'] at the PG position. For Blue Ridge they received a big defense boost from transfer Emalynn Bright who forced multiple turnovers. From there [player_tooltip player_id='1098651' first='Opal' last='Maralit'] an [player_tooltip player_id='1098652' first='Kaydin' last='Sullivan'] took care of most the scoring in tonight's matchup. Opal was able to connect on multiple deep 3's throughout the contest, while Kaydin showed off crafty footwork in order to get to the basket against the length of Westside.    The solid all around combo guard scored comfortably tonight. She used her athleticism to elevate and score over the top of multiple defenders while mixing in a variety of step backs and other moves to get to her spots.     Recently transferred from Legacy Early College, Bella will provide a big lift for her Brynes squad throughout the season. The physical PG has her best basketball ahead of her and seldom seemed uncomfortable on the floor. Using her body to shield defenders, playing through contact, and setting up her teammates are staples of her game. Bella showed off her ball handling throughout to set up her teammates, and to get the rim herself on several occasions.     A talented PF/C for Brynes, Kesiah is just now starting to blossom. She is physical and shows good hands and footwork for her squad. On her way to double digit scoring tonight Kesiah was able to find space operating in the high post and the dunker spot on the floor. She has a nice touch on her 15' jumpshot and was vocal throughout.     A highly underrated prospect from Spartanburg De'Asia can do anything asked of her on the basketball floor. She is a true two way PG who can facilitate or score as needed from all three levels. Look for her recruitment to take a big jump during her senior campaign.     A microwave player who can get hot in a hurry. Azaria hit shots at all three levels including several deep threes. Add to that her speed in the passing lanes and her first jump and she is tough to guard . She was able to elevate over defenders, grab tough rebounds, and keep Spartanburg engaged in a close match-up tonight.     Khalia has been getting stronger as each year passes but what impressed tonight was her patience around the rim. Even with multiple defenders trying to crowd and pressure her, Khalia made the right decision either passing or scoring in response. Her touch from the free throw line looks good, and she even put the ball on the deck from the perimeter more than once, earning herself a trip to the charity stripe. She finished with a double double in a winning effort.     The transfer PG will take over the bulk of the ball handling for her Westside squad. Jade brings in experienced senior leadership and additional scoring to an already loaded squad trying to get over the hump for a state championship. Through the contest it was apparent that Jade simply wanted to make the best play offensively, but on more than one occasion when a play broke down, she showed that she is a capable scoring option no matter who is on the floor.     The little known 6'3 prospect certainly has next after Khalia's departure next season. Brooke made an immediate impact for her team blocking shots and rebounding against Blue Ridge. When she wasn't impacting the game on the defensive end, she was playing hi-low with her teammates or springing them open with her screens.     The number 4 ranked PG/SG in the 2027 class shot the lights out for her Blue Ridge squad. Even being face guarded full court for most of the second half she still got free for several deep bombs to keep her team in the game. USC Aiken is getting a promising prospect with an ability to stretch the floor comfortably to the volleyball line.
