Coming in at #6 in this Update is future UNI PG, KeaOnna Worley of CR - Prairie High School. Worley checks off several boxes that evaluators and recruiters have as it pertains to someone who can compete at the next level. She is a pass-first PG above everything else and she demonstrates that every time she comes down the court with the ball in her possession. She understands where her teammates should be at all times and if they aren't there, she is good at creating order so that the group can make the play successful when things might break down. She will have to really figure out how to find time on the floor once she gets to that next level but that's a worry for another time. Right now - Worley is locked in at the season at hand, which is all that really matters at this moment in time with the Winter season right around the corner.

I anticipate that Lizzy Frazell will be a solid role player at Drake when she takes the collegiate floor in a couple of seasons. Frazell, the 5'11 CG/SF, is adaptable. She can produce with or without the basketball being in her possession for long periods of time and that's going to be sometime that translates at the next level. Unless you are PG #1 - 95% of the game is played without the ball so anyways that you can produce without having the ball in your actual possession, the better. Frazell is the type with some sneaky athletic ability, she has the height, she has the skill, and she is selfless enough that she is going to produce without looking for any of the credit - those are four factors that college coaches love and those are four factors that college coaches can help develop over time within the right system. Which is what I expect to happen as Frazell continues to get older.

Ari Phillips is the only player out of the 2027 Class within the Top 10 that is currently still uncommitted. We have said it several times this Summer leading into the Fall - this is someone that is set on playing at the PG spot at the next level so whoever is willing to give her that opportunity is going to receive her commitment in the end. This is a talented Guard, that can move between the 1, 2, and 3 spot on the Varsity floor. At the next level, depending on how tough the competition level is - Phillips would stick between the 1 and the 2 primarily. I do feel within the right system that she could have some success if she wanted to keep things rolling after this next season at Johnston. She would just have to figure out where fits best and go from there. For now though - she will hold onto the #8 spot as we move into the Winter season.

If we were to go back and look at the players starting position within their Class rankings when they moved into high school compared to now at this point - you could debate that Callie Hales as been the 2027 Classes biggest stock-riser. The talented lefty is a smooth operator with the rock. She is dominant with her vocal leadership and she is always looking for angles or advantages to exploit within the defense in front of her. The best way to describe it is that Hales has calculated aggression. She knows how to pressure while working smart instead of hard and that helps her thrive. It helps her thrive now and it's going to help her thrive at UT Martin in the following years to come as well. In this Update Hales finally breaks the Top 10 of the 2027 Class, coming in at #9.

Rounding out the Top 10 at #10 is Campbell Schulz of North Polk High School. Schulz has been one of the better Guards out of the Des Moines area for a few years now from the CG position. She averaged 15 PPG, 4 RPG, and 4 APG. I think the most eye opening number here and one of the main reasons why Schulz is a D1 commit is the Assists. She averaged just under 5 APG while only turning it over just 2 times per contest. Don't get me wrong - scoring at the next level is important and so is rebounding but if she can make the assists number translate then it will be hard to pull her off the floor once she starts to see time for the Panthers. That's for sure.
