The Headliners Invitational brought together talented prospects who had the opportunity to showcase their skills through drills, 3v3 and 5v5 competition. Throughout the event, several guards caught my attention with their ability to create offense, whether it was getting downhill, making plays off the dribble or finding open teammates. Some used their quickness and ball-handling skills to create separation, while others showed impressive court vision and the ability to make smart decisions with the basketball. Here are five guards from Team Liberty and Team Fever who demonstrated their ability to make things happen offensively.

Taylor had a lot to offer offensively at the Headliners Invitational, particularly with her ability to break down defenders and create opportunities off the dribble. Her quick first step and smooth hesitation move allowed her to get into the paint, where she could finish herself or find an open teammate. I really liked how comfortable she looked handling the basketball in transition, keeping her head up and delivering some excellent passes ahead. Taylor also showed the ability to create her own shot from the perimeter, knocking down a step-back three with impressive footwork. She had a nice feel for when to attack and when to distribute, making her difficult to defend because she could hurt opponents in multiple ways.

Naomi showed plenty of creativity with the basketball at the Headliners Invitational, using her handles and ability to change direction to create scoring opportunities. She was particularly effective when attacking the basket, displaying some crafty finishes that made it difficult for defenders to anticipate her next move. One of her more impressive plays came after securing a defensive rebound and pushing the ball the length of the floor before finishing with a beautiful Euro step. Naomi also showed a nice floater and the ability to make plays for others, including a well-executed drive-and-kick pass. During 3v3 competition, she demonstrated good passing instincts while also knocking down a couple of three-pointers. Her ability to create offense both for herself and her teammates was a big part of her game.

Braylee was especially effective at putting pressure on the defense at the Headliners Invitational. Her quick first step and strong handles allowed her to consistently get downhill, and she used a nice hesitation dribble to get defenders off balance before attacking the basket. She showed excellent body control on a Euro step finish and demonstrated her ability to finish through contact with an and-one opportunity. What I liked about Braylee was how frequently she was able to work her way to the free-throw line, showing that defenders had a difficult time keeping her out of the paint. She also knocked down numerous three-pointers, forcing defenders to respect her outside shot. That combination of perimeter shooting and the ability to attack off the dribble gave her several ways to generate offense.

Ella showed how valuable a guard can be when she is able to turn defensive plays into quick offensive opportunities at the Headliners Invitational. She came away with multiple steals and wasted little time pushing the basketball up the floor. On two occasions, she took steals coast to coast, including one where she finished nicely off two feet at the basket. Beyond creating opportunities for herself, Ella displayed impressive court vision in transition. She consistently looked ahead and delivered some great passes to teammates running the floor. She also showed the ability to get downhill in the half court and added a nice floater to her offensive game. I liked her willingness to move the basketball and recognize opportunities early, whether that meant attacking the rim herself or setting up someone else.

Nadia brought a nice balance of scoring and playmaking to Team Liberty at the Headliners Invitational. She showed confidence creating her own offense, connecting on a pull-up jumper and displaying some creativity when working her way toward the basket. Her inside-hand finish was particularly impressive, showing her ability to use different angles around defenders to get a shot off. Nadia also made defenders respect her perimeter game, knocking down back-to-back three-pointers. While her scoring ability was certainly noticeable, I also liked the way she saw the floor. She delivered an excellent pass in transition and showed good awareness of where her teammates were positioned. Nadia's ability to score from different areas while also recognizing opportunities to distribute the basketball made her an effective offensive playmaker.
