Naomi showed plenty of creativity with the basketball at the Headliners Invitational, using her handles and ability to change direction to create scoring opportunities. She was particularly effective when attacking the basket, displaying some crafty finishes that made it difficult for defenders to anticipate her next move. One of her more impressive plays came after securing a defensive rebound and pushing the ball the length of the floor before finishing with a beautiful Euro step. Naomi also showed a nice floater and the ability to make plays for others, including a well-executed drive-and-kick pass. During 3v3 competition, she demonstrated good passing instincts while also knocking down a couple of three-pointers. Her ability to create offense both for herself and her teammates was a big part of her game.

Naomi showcased a nice combination of scoring ability, ball handling and court vision while competing with Team Fever at the Headliners Invitational. During 3v3 competition, she showed her ability to create for others with some well-placed passes while also knocking down a couple of shots from behind the arc. Her offensive versatility continued into 5v5 action, where she displayed good handles and a crafty approach to finishing around the basket. She connected on a nice floater and made a smart drive-and-kick pass, demonstrating her ability to recognize when to attack and when to find an open teammate. One of my favorite plays came when Naomi secured a defensive rebound and immediately pushed the ball coast to coast, finishing with an impressive Euro step at the rim. Her ability to handle the basketball, change direction and create scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates made her an exciting player to watch throughout the event.

Naomi, playing on Team 2 at The Expo, was one of my top performers on the day. She is a quick, shifty guard with a strong handle who consistently found ways to make things happen. Defensively, Naomi came away with multiple steals, including one she turned into an and-one on the other end with impressive footwork around the rim. She also competed hard on the offensive glass, tracking down multiple rebounds to extend possessions. Naomi moved well without the ball, relocating after her passes and finding open windows in the defense. She rounded out her performance by knocking down shots from behind the arc.

Naomi broke onto the scene with an All-Showcase First Team performance at the PGH Michigan State Showcase, and I had a feeling when I saw her at Mystics Open Run on Thursday that she was about to turn some heads. Naomi has the ball on a string. She changes speeds, accelerates with an explosive burst through the gap, and finishes with great touch at the rim. Naomi scored a full-speed drive-by bucket with her off-hand against a contesting defender from a tough angle, kissing the shot high off the glass. She buried a smooth slot three, then raced down the court on a fast break and pulled up again from the wing to sink another confident triple on the next possession. Naomi drilled a straightaway three off the bounce, drove by with a burst for a bucket, sank a mid-range pull-up, and buried another three from the slot. She’s a crafty point guard playmaker, and I’m anticipating a breakout sophomore campaign for her at Northville this winter.

Naomi made a huge splash at the Michigan State Showcase, delivering an All-Showcase First Team performance. Her three point accuracy off the catch and the dribble, shiftiness, elusive ball-handling, passing vision, and quickness to get through gaps for layups makes her a dynamic point guard. Naomi creates for herself and others. She looks ready to have a breakout sophomore season at Northville.

Naomi was a big-time breakout performer at the PGH Michigan State Showcase. That was our first time seeing her play and she couldn’t have made a better first impression. Naomi pushed the ball up the court, fired passes in transition, and shot the ball with supreme confidence from three-point distance. She was deadly from beyond the arc off the dribble and the catch. Naomi ripped the ball away on the defensive end, attacked with a burst off the dribble to cause fouls, and kicked passes out to open shooters off of dribble penetration. She ripped the nets with threes from spots all over the court and turned in a complete performance.
