Markevitch is a player that I had not watched play, until this summer, and I was very impressed with her overall game and she makes my list of players to watch from the Madison area. 6-1 with good athleticism and poise, Markevitch a 1st Team All-Conference selection had a great junior season averaging 18.3 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.0 apg, 2.0 spg.

Murphy, the 5-10 UW–Platteville commit, and 2025 Capital-North POY makes the list after an outstanding junior season where she averaged nearly a double-double putting up 15.0 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.2 apg, 0.9 spg, while shooting 83.8% from the line and 40% from 3 and providing game changing play on both ends of the court.

UW-GB commit Albrecht, a 6-1 senior, rounds out the list of Madison area players to watch. Had a milestone laden junior season in which she became the Pumas all-time leading scorer, in January, and also grabbed her 1,000 career rebound. The reigning conference POY will have her hands full trying to duplicate last season's terrific output of 20.1 points, 14.1 boards, 2.7 assists and almost 6 blocks per game but I am confident there is more in the tank!
