See, watching them move, attack, play free, you know something good is about to come of them. Let me rephrase that: good has already been there, but they are about to take it to another level.

See, I am a big believer in that a) everyone is on their own journey. b) you never know when a kid's breakthrough is going to happen. There were a ton of girls who may have flown under the radar in the past, but are right there, about to break through and seize their opportunity. Who knows what has delayed the process, but who cares; these girls are ready. Looking at the talent field, there are tons of girls who can contribute to their ballclub in many ways. It was on display at the event, and I can't wait for them to suit up for their school.

Check out a few names that piqued my interest, and I am excited to see what this year holds for them.

She may be quiet, but her game has some noise to it. She's a heady ballplayer who can shoot well from the field, but also put the ball on the floor and attack. She was doing the little things right to make a difference on the floor. Scoring wasn't the only thing she did well, but defending and rebounding also stood out. Look for her to be a solid option for her team this upcoming season. One who will bring value to her club for sure.

G.G. is one who is going to find a way to be impactful. Stealthy, like, she is going to strike in more ways than one. She's always in control, which enables her to get to her spots and finish. She can be in attack mode and hit you with a 1,2 and float it. Or she can knock it down from the perimeter and make you pay. Defensively, she is solid. She's going to stay in front and get a steal or deflection. She didn't back down at all during The Expo. Picking her spots to exploit and went right at the girl on her. Look for her to grow in a lethal PC program and become a contributor sooner rather than later to a club that is about to turn up the volume even louder.

This kid is a slasher who can handle the rock and also knock down the 3 ball. Her length poses a threat, as she deters opponents from getting clean looks and deflects shots. She's solid off the dribble and can attack downhill. She showed some good stuff as she went to work against opponents, leaving scouts impressed with her movement and her ability to get to the rim. Look for her to come into this year with something to prove. A solid ballplayer who will give you maximum effort on both ends of the floor.

Shot the ball very well, but what stood out was her fearlessness to get after it. On both ends of the floor, she was in the mix. In position to make plays, played solid D, hunted great shots on O. Qualities that will help translate the style of play to the high school game. I loved her temperament and the way she competed. She heads to PHS looking to grow and become a valuable asset to the program. She has good size, is versatile, and will be a quick learner. Look for her to be a solid piece to a talented Page club in the coming years. One who is going to not only get better, but make a name for herself with her hustle and style of play.

A kid who is going to be a mismatch problem when it's all said and done. She can go inside and work, but she can also knock down the 3 ball at a high clip. You could tell she was confident in her play by the way she was reading the game. She pulled out a couple of moves that freed her up to get a clean look at the rim or open up a gap for a teammate. She is a selfless player who will get some minutes with this talented FRA squad. She can score the basketball, but expect her to play solid defense and contribute on the boards. This kid is still growing, and once she puts it all together, she is going to be a problem to deal with.
