The evaluation and rankings process was expedited this spring and summer due to the volume of Prep Girls Hoops tournaments in Michigan and the mass participation by clubs and teams on our Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. The Prep Girls Hoops College Tour series and Prep Girls Hoops Michigan State Tournament gave us five chances to see prospects compete locally right here in Michigan. Nearly every club with college prospects in Michigan competed in front of our scouts at one Prep Girls Hoops tournament, with many clubs attending more than one tournament. This reality created the perfect environment for us to evaluate prospects from across the state against various levels of competition. We've continued to evaluate prospects at elite camps, individual showcases, and fall leagues throughout August, September, and now into October. Our Freshman Showcase hit a new PR with 90+ participants, while The Expo also hit new highs for attendance with 100+ registrations.

After actively evaluating the 2027 prospects, we now have 484 players ranked and on the Watch List. Height, size, speed, athleticism, fundamental skill development, the position a player is projected to play at the next level, and performance in different competitive settings are all taken into account. Our goal with every class is to accurately group prospects into the correct categories of college potential/projection. By the end of senior year, each class breaks down into clear categories: Power Four/D1+, D1/D2+, D2/NAIA+/D3+/JUCO+, NAIA/D3/JUCO, and NAIA/D3 reserve. As I've written many times, the levels of college basketball intersect, cross, and differ in competitive ability throughout all the divisions. All high school classes do not have the same size, talent, or level of college talent. However, based on my tracking of commitments over the past three years, there appears to be a predictable trend in Michigan.

Based on data from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes, there could be approximately 410 or more prospects per grade who can play some level of college basketball. There will always be multisport athletes who don't do travel basketball or play in some remote area where we just don't get the opportunity to identify them for our rankings, despite our best efforts. Using averages from the past three classes, there may be anywhere between 10-20 D1 commits, 20-30 D2 commits, and 125-140 NAIA/D3/JUCO commits in a particular class.

After graduating 18 points from last year's starting lineup (Ciera Barrett, Spring Arbor), Bradie will be relied upon even more to lead the offensive charge. She's more than capable of stepping up to the task. Bradie was good for 18 points, five steals, four assists, and nearly seven rebounds per game as a junior. Her consistency on the PGH Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='714462' first='Michigan' last='Premier'] resulted in Top Performer recognition; then Bradie turned in a dominant effort at the Au Sable Shootout. She attacks with an explosive burst off the dribble and finishes high-percentage shots from difficult angles with outstanding touch and finesse in the lane. Her floater game off one and two feet is second to none. Bradie has excellent court vision, a sharp handle, good anticipation/quickness on the defensive end, and is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc. She's a crafty point guard who will be a great addition to a college program. Concord looks ready to be a D4 contender once again. Bradie holds offers from Albion, Olivet, and Kalamazoo.

Emma climbed the rankings by playing consistently at a high level throughout the spring, summer, and fall. She's a prototypical point guard who runs the offense with poise, facilitates the ball effectively in the half-court, sees the floor, and causes a disruption on the defensive end with her aggressive instincts, awareness, and pressure on the ball. After swiping the ball away, Emma pushes it swiftly the other way with both hands and finishes with good touch to convert fast-break layups. She'll be an impact player in the lineup at Hamilton and a great pickup by a college program. Emma holds offers from Aquinas, Albion, Madonna, and Grand Rapids CC.

Grace is a crafty court general who operates with a high IQ. She makes smart decisions with the ball in her hands, delivers accurate passes using whatever delivery is necessary to beat the defense, sees the floor extremely well, creates open looks for teammates, and changes directions with ease against pressure. Grace attacks gaps and finishes with strength around the basket. She's a stat stuffer and leader on both sides of the ball. Grace will be critical to Frankenmuth's success this season and a solid addition to a college program. Grace holds an offer from Northwood University.

Maddy took her game to a higher level for Fenton as a junior, receiving Flint Metro League All-Conference Honors as the Tigers finished first in the Stripes Division. Maddy continued to excel in games with [program_tooltip program_id='714556' first='TC' last='Elite'] during the travel season, at Northwood Team Camp, and added a solid performance at the PGH Expo. She's an aggressive and instinctual defender who creates turnovers on and off the ball. Maddy makes the hustle plays, rebounds, and slashes to the rim effectively with a burst. She goes up strong in traffic, finishes off two, and hits shots in the mid-range and from beyond the arc. Maddy makes extra passes, energizes her teammates, and is an unselfish player. She'll be a multidimensional guard who contributes to a college program.

Elyanna had a huge spring and summer on the PGH Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='715424' first='The' last='Naturals']. That momentum continued into elite camps, and Elyanna's recruiting has taken off. She's quick, shifty, efficient from three-point range, and has a dribble burst that enables her to beat defenders to the basket, while finishing with good touch at the rim. Elyanna's pesky pressure creates turnovers, her elusive ball-handling creates space to work on the offensive end, and she delivers accurate passes to open teammates off dribble penetration. Elyanna checks the boxes necessary to contribute at the next level as an undersized point guard. She holds offers from Madonna, Oakland Community College, Rochester Christian, and Oak Hills.
