About Madison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High energy point guard that leads and controls the pace of the offense. Ability to bring the ball down court and break the press as needed. Pass first, shoot second teammate, that is always encouraging during good and tough times. Excellent passer with minimal turnovers and exceptional defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Winner, Hard-worker on and off the court, Leader, and Ultimate Teammate mentality. Happy go lucky personality.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

NHS - National Honors Society

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I continue to work on being a leader on and off the court. I do this by my actions of doing the right things. I push my teammates but also myself, to get good grades and encourage all my teammates to not drink, do drugs or smoke. I lead by example in everything I do. I attend all morning workout sessions and practices and give 100% effort at all times.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Playing varsity basketball as a freshman was a significant challenge. It was hard adjusting to the speed, size and strength of the varsity players. Additionally it was hard not playing with my classmates and gaining acceptance of the older girls. By working hard and staying out of any gossip groups I was able to gain the respect of all.

What type of college are you looking for?

Currently going into my senior year, I’m keeping all options open as I continue to develop. I see myself as a DIII and DII potential player. At the end of the day I wanted to play basketball, period.
