Mid-Michigan Mega Scrimmage: Reppin’ the Valley

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>H.H. Dow High School hosted their annual Mid-Michigan Mega Scrimmage on Saturday, November 23rd and the event was once again an exciting day of basketball. New and familiar faces emerged as impact players for their teams throughout the day. She pushed the ball in transition and threw strong skip passes over defenders for assists. Claire dished accurate lob entry passes into the low post and crossed her defender over to score a contested layup off the window. She buried a smooth triple from the wing and corner then swiped the ball away to score a left-handed layup. Claire defended in an athletic stance and worked hard to cut off drives. Charlotte provided a strong interior presence for the Warriors, denying cutters, fronting the low post, and gaining the advantage to score an offensive rebound put back off two feet. She showed her shooting range by knocking down a long jumper from the corner and demonstrated leadership by verbally directing teammates on defense. She stole the ball away many times on defense and drove hard through a defender to score a strong layup off two feet in transition. Allie buried a smooth rainbow three-pointer from the corner, converted an offensive rebound putback, and converted many layups at the rim. Delaney made a smart read in transition by catching a pass on the wing and immediately sweeping the ball for a layup off the dribble. She shoots with sound mechanics and buried multiple triples off the catch. Lauren created wide open shots for shooters by setting screens on the perimeter and throwing lightning-quick passes as the defense shifted. She flew inside to secure an offensive rebound and converted a strong putback. Lauren threaded the needle with a strong bounce pass in transition and used her quickness to grab a steal.
