Our new #1 in the 2026 Class in the state of Nebraska is Millard West SF - [player_tooltip player_id='747368' first='Kylee' last='Paben']. Paben stands at 6'1 and she is a versatile prospect at her height. She isn't the fastest in her movement but she makes long strides, has a coordinated and balanced ability at all three offensive levels, and she can impact things with her length on the defensive end at a steady rate. Everytime that I've seen Paben compete, she has been an avid producer on both ends for her squads. Doesn't matter if that's at the high school level or on the AAU scene. Everytime she is someone that other programs have to account for and that's a major reason as to why she takes a step up here. It'll be interesting to see what she can do this Winter at MW. If she plays to her full potential and the other stars around her show up, they should have a really nice chance of going back-to-back as Class A State Champs.

Continuing to hold down the #3 spot in this Class is [player_tooltip player_id='756006' first='Ani' last='Leu'] of Lincoln North Star. Leu is a very interesting player. She moves more like a Forward with her height at 6'0 but she also has a guard like skill-set. Honestly, it's unique but it works at high rates from what I've seen, so who am I to judge. This Winter will obvious be an important one to stay on track but I'm very excited to see Leu on the AAU scene with her new program. She will be competing with ETG's 3SSB team and I think this exposure is going to help her greatly. She is already a prospect with some D2 offers/interest and I expect this move will ramp up that process. Beforehand, she will look to make another State run with her LNS team. A goal that is definitely achievable.

Not to take away anything from anyone in anyway but [player_tooltip player_id='757558' first='Halle' last='Dolliver'] happens to fall in this Update because of her injury. It's not cause she played bad, it's just that she will be out this entire Winter season and that does play a factor into things. I do still believe Dolliver will return and have a very good chance at taking back her #1 spot but that will take time in this process. Her first priority should be to return healthy and with full strength. From there, she can set goals and crush them. When she is healthy, her ultra athletic play making ability is a standout on every floor. Her AAU program has been in the conversation for a National Title each season she has competed with them and she is one of the main reasons for that. If not thee main reason. As you can tell, It'll be awhile until we see Dolliver compete again but when she is back in action, we will be ready to see what's up.

[player_tooltip player_id='747374' first='Izzie' last='Galligan'] of Millard North comes in at #4 in this Update and as the #1 rated Shooting Guard throughout this Class. Galligan is going to be the primary force on her Mustangs team this Winter. With her consistent shooting ability, her shifty handle, and her situational awareness, it makes sense that this team will look to get her the ball in key situations throughout their Winter. Galligan does possess a D1 offer to compete follow her high school career but I'm not sure if that's where she will end up. I do think she will have some other options that will appease her around the Midwest. She just needs to continue to keep her head down and to keep working.

One of the highest, uncommitted prospects that Nebraska has to offer out of the 2026 Class is [player_tooltip player_id='758887' first='Clara' last='Welker'] from Millard North. What Welker brings to the hardwood is length at 6'0, a three level scoring ability that is better than most her age, and a very adaptable play-style. This is someone that has the option to take the floor as her team's 3-guard with her versatility or she can move to the Forward position to handle business there if need be. Welker is going to be a hot commodity until she commits and that makes sense. You don't get this type of player every day out of the Midwest so whoever scoops her up, is really getting a steal in the grand scheme of things.
