Catching Up With Some Talent

Close has found a role as an off-ball guard who can knock down shots on the weak side and attack recovering defenses off the dribble. Close has shown more willingness to get downhill this season, and it's paid dividends. She's been an efficient scorer this season, more so than in years past, and she knows how to play with everyone in the Reed Raider program. Langer is a mobile and physical post kid who can handle the ball in traffic, which I find to be an undervalued aspect of a post. Her ability to play through contact and protect the ball allows the Crimson Tide to play through the paint and keep their offense rolling. The junior fits the way the Warhawks want to play to a tee. Stocks is a solid defensive guard who can create problems in opposing teams' backcourt, and she sees the floor well on the offensive end. She doesn't waste time with the ball in her hands. Her decisiveness keeps things moving for the Warhawks. Hodges shows flashes of upside. Her athleticism, with her size, allows her to make some plays other wings can't. Hodges shot also looks solid. However, I assume she'd become a more consistent shooter with more reps.
