With the second half of the season starting in the new year, let's take a look back at some players who have jumped on the radar or made a bigger name for themselves after a breakout first half of the season in the class of 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='221613' first='Alyssa' last='Hallman'] is currently leading her team in points at 18.5 PPG, shooting 46% from the field, as well as in rebounds with 8 P/G, steals with 3.7 P/G, and blocks with 1.2 P/G. The 6-foot forward has been a crucial player for the Hilliard team this year. She excels as a stretch forward, knocking down shots from beyond the three-point line, while also showcasing her ability to finish around the rim with coordination and physicality. This versatility makes her a threat in transition, as she can secure the rebound and push the ball up the floor with ease. Hallman is having an outstanding season and is poised to transition into a successful travel season, where I foresee her receiving several offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1207160' first='Nalah' last='Smith'] has stepped up big for the defending 2A state champions this year, taking on a competitive schedule. The 6'1" forward is averaging 11.6 PPG while shooting 49% from the field and grabbing 7.7 rebounds per game, along with 1.2 blocks per game. Nalah has a knack for finding rebounds and securing them at their highest point. She is always in the right position for her teammates to find her at the front of the rim for easy layups. Defensively, she is a force around the rim, swatting shots at their peak. Nalah's ability to impact the game without needing plays drawn up for her makes her a key player as her team aims for another deep playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='514558' first='Olivia' last='Titherington'] has helped lead her team into the new year with an undefeated record. Olivia is currently averaging 18.0 PPG, 4.0 assists per game, and 3.7 steals per game. The point guard controls the game and ensures her team scores in bunches. If she isn't the one lighting up the scoreboard, she's finding her open teammates for easy buckets. Olivia should garner significant attention after this season and is poised to pick up several offers during the upcoming travel season.

[player_tooltip player_id='221610' first='Karolina' last='Ramirez'] (Cover photo) is part of the "Big 3" at Martin County, where the team shares the ball exceptionally well, often having three players in double figures on any given night. Karolina is currently averaging 13.1 PPG, 3.9 assists per game, and 2.5 steals per game, with 54 total assists on the season. The junior point guard ensures everyone gets involved in the game. Her ball-handling skills and court vision make her a significant threat with the ball in her hands. She can shoot off the dribble, drive to the rim and finish with creativity, or draw defenders and find open teammates. Karolina's stock as a point guard is rising rapidly as Martin County looks to compete for the 6A state championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='847610' first='Allevia' last='Williams'] and the Clearwater team have faced a tough schedule this season, and Allevia has held her own against strong competition. Williams is currently averaging 14.4 PPG. The 5'11" guard can shoot the ball from deep, but this season she has started to put more pressure on defenders by using her size to drive to the rim and get to the free throw line. Williams' versatility and competitive nature have stood out this season against quality teams, proving she can compete with some of the best. As she continues to refine her game heading into the travel season, I foresee her picking up several offers.
