The OK Green Conference started their conference play last Friday. I was able to see the Muskegon vs. Jenison game live and watch game film on the others. Let's take a look at who started conference play off hot.

Shamari stepped up significantly for her Muskegon team in the absence of [player_tooltip player_id='614713' first='Cece' last='Bonner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='502311' first='Mariah' last='Sain']. She played the point guard position, hitting three-pointers, driving to the rim, and finishing strong despite contact. Her defensive pressure made it challenging for Jenison, and she also rebounded exceptionally well for a guard. Shamari finished the game with a high of 18 points.

Jaila had a significant impact in her team's victory over Jenison. On the first play of the game, she stole the ball and made a great pass to her teammate for an easy basket. She then turned around, stole the ball again, and drove to the hoop herself. Jaila made several shots from beyond the arc and finished the game with 13 points. I expect her to have an outstanding junior season.

Selena was her normal self of doing a lot of everything for her team in their close loss to Muskegon. She was a pesky defender putting pressure on Muskegon's guards. She knocked down a shot behind the arc and finished through traffic. I expect she will continue to have a big senior season for her Jenison team.

Brynn is a tall guard who is making a significant impact on her Jenison team this season. She possesses a smooth shooting stroke from beyond the arc and can quickly get her shot off. In Friday's game, she made a corner three-pointer over a 6-foot defender. In addition to her scoring ability, her length enhances the defensive side of the game, allowing her to effectively guard multiple positions. If college coaches haven't noticed her yet, it's time for them to take notice!

Laynie has a significant impact on the game due to her length and athleticism. She showcased her shooting range by making a 3-pointer and is capable of finishing with either hand around the rim. She ended the game with 15 rebounds.

Lakely was an exceptional rim protector and ended the game with several blocks. She effectively seals her defender to score inside and is also capable of hitting shots from beyond the arc. Her skills should translate well to the next level, but first, I'm looking forward to watching her dominate the lane as she finishes her senior season.
