Union's upstart squad stormed ahead in the third quarter. And had Broken Arrow completely out of sorts. Broken Arrow dug deep in the forth, turned defensive energy into offensive production and dominated the close moments to rally and earn bragging rights.

Mathurin shook off an tough shooting night to make some of the biggest plays down the stretch for the hard earned win. She got the ball rolling in the fourth quarter with a tough off the dribble triple. Then started looking for spots on defense. Which included a powerful block at the rim that energized her team. A few possessions later, it was the Michigan commit forcing a steal, then staying with it to get an "And 1" putback that brought them within one. Gritty plays like that will be crucial as Mathurin chases a Gold Ball with her BA teammates.

The junior is always a blast to watch, because she brings it all 94 feet and every second she's on the court. Pesky and aggressive defender, who is an energy giver. At one point her non stop motor helped forced a 10 second count. Hit big shoots throughout the first three quarters. A mix of threes and crafty scores off the dribble. Fourth quarter was a learning experience, with some mistakes. But with the passion she plays with, she is sure to bounce back from the mistakes and keep improving.

Bowen has been a tone setter with physicality on both ends of the court in seemingly every viewing this year. Good athlete, with toughness to compete around the rim and foot speed to hang with smaller guards. Is tough to handle off the dribble, as she's nimble while still being strong with the ball. Might have a bit of a clutch gene with the tough shot she hit to beat the buzzer. Type of upside and aggressive prospect who should thrive at New Mexico Junior College and quickly find a four year home.

Known as a sharpshooter, Wiginton is an all around competitor who has a knack for making an impact in the clutch for the Tigers. After clutch shooting helped a critical District win vs Edmond North, it was a Wiginton defensive play that changed the game for BA. The Tigers were on a run in the final frame and had cut it to one. It was the senior's backcourt pressure which forced a steal, then she quickly scored to give them their first lead of the second half. A lead they would not give up.

Woodard is often instant offense off the bench for Union. Quick with a killer crossover, she's able to get defenders on their heels and get downhill. Good mid-range game, along with runners and floaters to score over taller opponents. Fun to watch in transition as well. Great injection of energy and unpredictability, who can help swing games for the Lady Redhawks.
