Top 3A Miss Tennessee Basketball Nominees

Throughout the state, counties/cities have big enough schools that still have that community feel. There might be a county that has a big school on the north side and then a big school on the south side, creating a rivalry like no other that reverberates throughout bloodlines for years.   When it comes to the women's game in this classification, things are turned up a notch that can't be found in the 1A or 2A classes. For instance, there are probably more young ladies who are prospects on a team or in an area instead of one or two kids. There is a lot more parity when it comes to head-to-head matchups among clubs. Just like in other classes through, there are solid prospects that can hoop with many of them going onto the next level.   The 3A class is a doozy. A lot of kids are putting that work in and helping their teams excel to new heights. Here are some Miss Tennessee nominees from the 3A classification.    One of the most consistent prospects in the state, this kid can score from all 3 levels, but is one of the best two-way players that impacts a ballgame. Possesses great size and strength, this kid is hard to handle on a nightly basis. She averaging 16ppg, 7rpg, to go along with 3spg. She is a Murray State signee who will be a big addition to that program. Look for her to help Southside back towards state contention before heading up north of the state line.       A Cincinnati Lady Bearcats signee has been getting it done. This kid is tough and has been terrorizing opponents throughout her entire high school career. A dynamic guard who can score the rock multiple ways. Last year she helped lead the Lady Trojans to a state title and this time around, she is looking to make it a back-to-back effort. Averaging 17 ppg to go along with 4rpg a game, this kid plays with a motor and is always getting after it.     Alicia Keys's song “ Girl On Fire” comes to mind when thinking about this young lady. She's been scorching the net at a high clip every single contest. Averaging 24.7 ppg, 7.8rpg, and 5.9 steals, talk about someone who is active and getting it done on both ends. She's the Cinderella story in this classification. Someone who has had a tremendous offseason and it's paying off from her tenacious hard work. Look for her to continue on this upward trajectory and be a household name in the area and throughout the state.      Is one of the most consistent ball players around the state. A solid two-way player who gets after it on both ends of the floor. She brings that lunpail mentality to the game, leaving no stone unturned. A multi-level scoring threat who is averaging 22ppg to go along with 3.1 apg. Add in her ability to contribute on the boards (5.1rpg), and get steals (2.3spg), you get one solid prospect. She is truly a valuable asset to the Lady Cherokee program.     The magnitude of this young lady can be felt throughout the entire program. She has been playing at a high level since stepping foot on campus as a freshman. She's been the X factor for her club every year, putting up consistent numbers along the way. This season, she is averaging 21 ppg, 7 rpg, and 2spg. She's been an impactful player her whole career and someone who future Lady Wildcats should model after.
