<p>Overall: 21-6 | District: 8-2</p>

<p>The junior tandem of [player_tooltip player_id='648195' first='Kjani' last='Anitielu'] and [player_tooltip player_id='828810' first='Caris' last='Dale'] was superb for Farmington in regard to their half-court play. Anitielu, a 5'8" shooting-guard, averaged 16.3 points per game on 44 percent shooting, totaling 15 three-pointers made. As for Dale, the 5'9" small-forward posted 10.7 points per game on 39 percent, connecting on 15 three-pointers just like her fellow teammate.</p>

<p>In the tie-breaker game against Volcano Vista on Feb. 24, the Scorpions defeated the Hawks, 48-39. In that game, Dale had a team-high 10 points while Anitielu chipped in with nine points.</p>

<p>The Matadors lineup of [player_tooltip player_id='391103' first='Sydney' last='Benally'], [player_tooltip player_id='391104' first='Hope' last='Giddings'], [player_tooltip player_id='391109' first='Audriana' last='Wright'], [player_tooltip player_id='1068188' first='Kaiyah' last='Benally'] and [player_tooltip player_id='642716' first='Nadia' last='Randall'] was truly outstanding, especially during District play. </p>

<p>Together, they accounted for 60.9 points per game while shooting 49 percent from the floor. What's more, they averaged 23.5 rebounds, 15.7 assists and 12.8 steals over their last 10 games. The chemistry among this core is what separates themselves from the rest of the pack. They know where each player will be and know how to make the game easier for everyone involved.</p>

<p>The 'Big 3' of [player_tooltip player_id='814475' first='Lorrena' last='Viarreal'], [player_tooltip player_id='648234' first='Ceanna' last='McKines'] and [player_tooltip player_id='391117' first='Jazlene' last='Ruiz'] combined to put up 27.4 points, 17.3 rebounds and 6.5 steals per game for The Trojans, ultimately leading Mayfield to an outright first place finish. </p>

<p>Viarreal, a 5'8" small-forward, is a deadly threat from the perimeter, once in a rhythm. McKines is a 5'9" forward that can cause havoc inside the lane. Lastly, Ruiz is a physical two-way point-guard, listed at 5'7". </p>

<p>Currently in the midst of a 25-game win streak, which includes going 6-0 in District play, the Eagles are scoring a whopping 64.8 points per game. On top of that, they are only allowing just 32.1 points to opposing teams. This season (2024-25), the trio of [player_tooltip player_id='458555' first='Bhret' last='Clay'], [player_tooltip player_id='458556' first='Brynn' last='Hargrove'] and [player_tooltip player_id='467050' first='Kyndle' last='Cunningham'], all reached the 1,000 point mark for their careers. </p>

<p>The Bulldogs were led by the dynamic duo of [player_tooltip player_id='648201' first='Lailah' last='Bouldin'] and Abby Pavia. Both multi-level scorers listed as point-guards, Bouldin is a junior while Pavia is a newcomer and in eighth grade.</p>

<p>Over the last eight games, Bouldin led the team in scoring and three-pointers made with 15.5 points per game and 11 'treys'. Additionally, Bouldin averaged 4.8 rebounds. 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals. Concerning Pavia, she was not far behind, as she put up 14.8 points per game, totaling eight three-pointers made. Moreover, Pavia averaged 5.5 rebounds and a team leading 4.1 assists per game. </p>
