Recently set the record for most steals in a single game at Mustang, with 11 steals against Yukon. It's a fitting honor for arguably the best defender in Oklahoma's senior class. What's crazy is her defensive impact goes beyond just steal column in the boxscore. She's a quick and strong one on one defender. Haywood can stay with smaller guards. And battle with forwards around the rim. Usually racks up a lot of deflections as well, because she's flat out disruptive.

Along with her defensive exploits, Haywood is a strong driver to the rim. And has shot it better from three this season. Another potential trip to the Class 6A State Tournament looms, as she looks to leave her mark on Oklahoma before heading to D1 Radford in Virginia.

Not only will Dillard pick the opposition's pocket. She'll also swat a shot or too. The same long arms that she uses to poke out loose balls or deflect passes are also perfect for chase down blocks. Even if a player can get by Dillard's defense, she's seemingly fly in from out of nowhere for the big block from behind. Her ability to rack up "stocks" make her one of the top defenders in Oklahoma. And she has also plenty of offensive punch with a shifty driving game, which helps her play at her own pace.

With an older brother who is a D1 DB, it shouldn't be surprising that Owens has hops and can highpoint passes for steals. She did just that to seal a Tournament of Champions of victory, and does it regularly when the opposition underestimates her hops. Along with her ball hawking nature off the ball, she's quick and disruptive on the ball. With feet just as quick as her hands. Has been a key part of a fierce Lady Hornet defense for years. And now has her eyes set on one more big steal. This time it's for a Gold Ball, the Class 5A State Championship to be exact.

The speedy southeastern Oklahoma guard might as well have walked into gyms with at least a couple steals already on the stat sheet. And she doesn't stop with just one or two, peep her 7 steal performance against Southside (AR). She's a terror in the passing lanes, has quick hands on the ball and is a blur.

Unfortunately for Lopez, after a storybook like junior season. Which ended as Class 3A State Champions. Idabel made the jump to 4A and the season wasn't near as smooth. But the multi sport star still had a very successful and prestigious high school career.

Hartshorne is one of the favorites in Class 2A and Moore is a key part of their deep and talented roster. Along with pressuring the ball, she a smart off the ball defender. Knows when to dig down off the ball and be disruptive to opposing drivers. And also stick to her opponent like glue to deny and eventually force steals in the passing lanes. The defending is a great plus to her shooting abilities from distance. Moore and her teammates are one win away from a trip to the Big House next week. Where they're expected to make up a very competitive Class 2A field.

Geisler and her teammates are one win away from another trip to the Class B State Tournament. Where they will look to avenge last year's loss in the State Title game. She's made her mark this year by catching fire from deep. And being a havoc causer on the defensive end. The senior wins 50-50 balls through grit and hustle. First to the floor type mentality serves her well. Threes and defense are a winning recipe, hopefully it will serve Geisler well in Area and potentially at State next week.
