Hidden Gems Spotted: Western PA Bruins Spring Tip-Off

Being in Pittsburgh at the annual Western PA Bruins Spring Tip-Off, you were just immersed in a lot of talent. Teams are coming from all over the country to compete and get ready for the first live period happening this upcoming week. One thing I did notice is that you couldn't dodge the no-smoke, as each ball club had a schedule that had some heavy hitters on it. It's what you wanted as a coach as you prepared to get your girls ready to showcase themselves in front of collegiate coaches.    We had some talented kids from TN competing up in the Steel City. No one was backing down, but showing others how we do around here. The ladies I am about to list are about to have a breakthrough year. Maybe this summer. Maybe this high school season. Either way, make sure they stay on your radar as they get ready to take their game to the next level.    Nolensville has a stud in this young lady. As soon as she laces up her shoes, she is ready to compete. Her game has evolved, and she has been fine-tuning some things. She is a 3-level scoring threat who pulls it from deep, but also creates off the bounce. She makes the right reads, plays selflessly, and locks up on the defensive end. Add in her ability to grab boards and poof, you get one heck of a prospect. Keep tabs on this young lady as she is on the up and up.     I think she is becoming a prospect that is about to get busy. This kid has the size, can stretch the floor, but most importantly, she is gaining the confidence piece. Over the weekend, she battled against folks that she may normally not see on a consistent basis. She held her own plus did her own thing. She's molding herself into a solid prospect that is going to be a major piece for the Lady Eagles this upcoming season.     A gym rat who gets after it. Her confidence is soaring as she is becoming a young prospect in the making. This kid was once known for her spot-up game, now she has added the piece to where she can create off the bounce. Getting to the rim and pulling up in the mid-range was very noticeable this weekend, and she looked comfortable doing it. Hickman Co., you got something special brewing down there, and this young lady is definitely in the mix to help make a special run these coming years.     She's playing with a lot of confidence, and her offensive game has stepped up. She was feeling it from the arc, knocking down 4+ attempts per game. Not only was she pulling, but getting down and dirty on the defensive end as well. She was sticking her head in there and creating chaos. Time and time again, when her team got easy transition buckets, it was based on her defensive ability. Solid kid who is on the upswing.     This kid is a silent assassin who just plays the game hard. She goes about her business quietly and is always at the forefront of major runs for her team. She can get to the rim, shoot the 3-ball consistently, but for some reason, when she is on the floor, good things tend to happen. This kid isn't flashy. Just just does her job and does it consistently. Solid kid who is about to have a breakthrough year.
