Kadee is a top freshman in the state and has been playing great for Union all season long. She runs the court in transition at an elite level, out-pacing opponents with ease and being able to use her speed to her advantage. She displays an elite deep shot, having a quick release. Spike is poised for a big high school career and will be a big part of this Union squad for years to come.

Kadee was excellent during the freshman showcase as she showcased her ability to shoot the lights out of the gym. She knocked down multiple threes, not being hesitant to let it fly when she’s open. She is aggressive on the offensive side of the ball, attacking downhill and finding open teammates if they are open on the perimeter. Spike has a ton of potential and will be a key piece of Union’s program over the next few years. 

Kadee Spike Kadee Spike 5'8" | PG/SG Union | 2029 State WA is a rising freshman out of Union High School and also plays for the Northwest Select AAU team. I originally spotted Kadee during her participation with Gems in the Gym, a local clinic held in Portland recently. She stood out right away by her ability to shoot the ball well and her aggressive play on offense. She can drive to the hoop and is a great passer. She has a way of reading the floor well.
This week I got to scout and watch her train with Matt Conboy at his facility in Vancouver, WA. She was working with some of her current teammates from Union High School. She was able to keep up with some of the best upper classmates, Brooklyn Haywood and Myla Larry Myla Larry 5'8" | CG Union | 2027 State WA .
When asking Kadee what she likes best about training with Conboy and the other athletes?
She said, “I like the way he pushes us to get better everyday and ensures we’re giving our max effort.”

She stated, “I like playing with the players here, because we all have the same like-minded goals and just compete and battle with each other every day.”

This upcoming season, it will be exciting to watch Kadee develop her game with one of the best teams out of Washington.

5-foot-8 shooting guard Kadee Spike competes with a hooper’s swagger. The freshman has nice handles, vision, passing, and shooting. She moves well with and without the ball and can be a three-level scoring threat. She uses strong ball fakes to make solid entry passes or get by to finish athletic takes at the rim. She has nice speed and lateral movement on the bounce. She doesn’t give up after getting stopped and makes the extra effort to find the assist out of a broken play. Spike closes out quickly on the perimeter, fights over screens, and has good help side awareness on defense. The freshman is excited to play with a Union (WA) squad that should be a state tournament contender this winter.
