Calie plays strong in the paint, being able to use her strength to grab rebounds and body opponents. She works hard every possession and does a great job rim running in transition. She absorbs contact nicely down low when getting buckets and is ready for a solid season with Union next year.

Offensively, Thorp embraces the physical side of basketball. She sets sturdy screens, dives decisively toward the basket, and consistently puts herself in a position to be a reliable finisher around the rim. Her willingness to do the hard work that often goes unnoticed makes her a player coaches love to have on the floor.

Calie has great size, standing around 6 feet. She uses it well on the defensive side by getting her hands in the passing lanes and grabbing rebounds high off the glass often. She sets good screens too, rolling hard to the paint and always staying ready to catch the ball and finish in the paint.
