[player_tooltip player_id='912252' first='Naomi' last='Gill'] is Another 2029 player who has made quite an impression on the basketball landscape. Gill plays the game like a chess player and seems to always make a play that is totally cerebral. She instinctively can cut to the basket when a defender attempts to overplay the passing lane. The young guard also has a nice midrange jumper and outside shot. Defensively, Gill has always been ahead of her peers. Her lock down defensive skills make it hard on a ball handler and she has a knack for getting steals and turning them into back breaker points. Gill has had an impressive first half of the AAU season and looking forward to seeing the young baller at the high school level. She will be instantly impactful on a high school team for several reasons: speed, ball IQ, athleticism, and heart.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249893' first='Jania' last='Ervin'] impressed in her team's fast-paced action over the weekend, showing that she was one of the toughest young players in the building. The young Ervin did a good job of finding her spots and getting quality shots up in critical moments. Ervin has added to her game and showed that she a nose for the ball. She is always around the ball. Ervin rebounds well from the guard position. In one game, Ervin grabbed several boards on the offensive end. Each rebound lead to a score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249891' first='Rihanna' last='Battle'] played with toughness and energy all weekend. She showed she could absorb contact and still finish at the rim. Battle had the ability to score using both hands. On the defensive end, she was physical and created steals and turnovers. Battle also showed she could score in flurries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249890' first='Amelia' last='Southwards'] played some impressive basketball this past weekend- especially for an 8th grader
The youngest player on the team, Southwards walked away with player of the game in the semifinals. Southwards scored 14 points and also scored the game winning shot. Southwards ability to play defense makes her impactful on both sides of the court. She also rebounds well and is a three level scorer.

Kimora Enoe caught my eye a few weeks ago. Enoe's athleticism caught my eye and so did her physicality. Her game is still developing, but she already has attributes that you can't teach. She defended well on the perimeter and mixed it up on the inside. She had a few nice scores on the inside. Enoe is a player to keep an eye out for.
