Emersyn is a shifty point guard with speed who had some eye-popping finishes at the Freshman Showcase for Team 4. She changed lanes with a quick crossover, blew by with a burst, and finished the tough and-one layup with a high arc. Emersyn split defenders again with a crossover to score a full-speed stretch layup with her left and added another drive-by layup. She pushed the ball up the court using both hands after securing rebounds, dished out assists, and caused a jump ball on the defensive end. Emersyn showed her quick hands, stealing the ball, and then turned on the afterburners to score a left-handed layup in transition.

I first saw Emersyn about a week and a half ago at a workout, and while she was solid there, some kids are just more comfortable when they are with their own teams. Yesterday she looked dialed in, aggressive, and strong with the ball. She ran offense most often, but she also showed the quickness and ability to get to the basket and finish, plus she knocked down a couple of rhythm jumpers. She’ll be one to watch in this still very young 2029 class.
