Saturday afternoon marked the annual Prep Girls Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. For me, it was a great way to see many of the state's 2029s in one location, especially with them having traveled all over the Midwest/country during the Grassroots season. Below is a look at some additional ladies who also played well throughout the afternoon/evening.

Brooklynn is still kind of a "sleeper" in this class, and one with a great deal of potential. She has good height, great length, she's fairly fluid athletically, and she has skill at all levels. Her mid-post game is very hard to defend, but she can also step outside and knock down the 3-pointer when in rhythm, making her perfect in pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop situations. As she continues to gain strength, she will become even more consistent and explosive, which could be scary for opponents. Keep your eye on her moving forward, as I anticipate she will only continue to grow her game.

Emersyn is a very athletic guard. She has a lot of bounce to her, she's fast North/South, and she plays with a great motor. She is probably more of a scorer right now, but she does have enough ball skill, vision, and understanding to become a full-time point guard. In the last year, not only has she worked hard on her skillset, but she has always worked on getting stronger and more explosive. Additionally, she is an effortful defender. While she averaged 3.9 points and played a lot of quality Varsity minutes as a Freshman, I would consider her a breakout candidate for the 2026-2027 season.

Kristina saw some action as a rookie on a really good Lady Bear team a season ago, but now she'll likely be asked to step into a more prominent role for Lawrence Central. She has a strong frame, she isn't afraid to play with physicality, and she is aggressive inside the arc. At the same time, she has good length and some bounce, and she can make athletic plays all over the floor. She still looks most comfortable inside of 15-feet acting as a power player, but you can see flashes that she could very likely become a pure wing over time. Keep an eye on her growth as a player this Winter.

Lania is a tough-nosed, physical, aggressive guard who loves to create contact going to the basket. She likes to get her defender on her hip, then she tries to drive through her/finish through her to draw a foul at the basket. She has a solid handle and can get defenders off-balance that way, otherwise it's all an attack North/South. Defensively, she is also physical when guarding the ball, she rebounds her position well, and she showcases versatility by defending stronger guards, most wings, and even the occasional undersized forward. She could be a key piece for Pike this year.

Jules has gotten noticeably stronger and much more assertive in the last year. She has always possessed a good handle, vision, and the ability to find open teammates. She has also been a fairly consistent multilevel scorer. But now, with her ability to absorb contact much better, she is getting through the lane better and finish through contact more consistently. As she continues putting in time working on her jumper, she should be able to extend her range a little now. She's also an effortful defender who can take on most point guards, bigger guards, and smaller wings.

This past weekend was my first time checking in on Mackenzie, and she still sticks in my mind as someone I was very intrigued with. She has tremendous length, she's fluidly athletic, and she's bouncy. She plays with a nice motor, she slices to the basket almost effortlessly, and she has touch outside and in the mid-range game. Using her length and quickness, she should develop into a high-level on-ball defender. But offensively, she fits in almost everywhere on the floor, because she can catch, rip, and attack the rim, or she can knock down an open rhythm jumper when set.

Subscribing doesn't change who the Scout covers, it changes who gets to see it.
