The PGH Circuit came to a close this weekend with the Battle in the Sunflower event. I always enjoy this event because it gives me an opportunity to expand my evaluation area. Several of these players we follow each other but I only get to see film so it is nice to watch some live action. I actually get the chance to put some eyes on them. Check out these 6 players I am only one scout so Iif I missed you please reach out. Tag me in those highlights or give me a follow on these platforms. x @coachjvick2 IG @coach_jvick

An extremely versatile forward that played on top of the full court press causing tons of trouble with the length and ability to move lateral. Quick hands that got on the ball for a deflection or steal. Great finisher off the steal in the front court and used the length to shoot over the guard that had just turned the ball over. Offensively she has a tough mid-range shott to go along with the outside 3-point shot as well.

Defensively she controlled the paint by blocking the shot or at least adjusting it. Good rebounder that reads the ball coming off the rim. The ball handling skills possess requires no outlet as she can start the break herself. She also was a good option on the pressure as she could pass over the front line of the press. The 2026 Forward has already committed to Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

When you look at the listing of positions, you will see PG/SF and that is very actuate as she played basically all 5 spots on the court. I could see Ryan being a matchup issues if coaching against her. Question would be who do you put on her? A small forward or post would have to come out and respect the 3-point shot. If come out to defend she is a good downhill driver that can get to the rim. Put a guard on her she posts them up and hits them with a drop stop over the shoulder hook. A very strong skill set either way inside or out.

Impressive was she is always moving without the basketball. Either relocating for spot up kickout or cutting backdoor when the defender turns their head. I am not sure of how many double-doubles she had in her career but guessing a few. A very solid 2027 that had a strong weekend.

A point guard that handles the ball under control and shows that poise when setting up her team into the plays. She brings a toughness to the position meaning if you are going to try and steal the ball away you better bring you toughness because she is not giving it up easy. A hard nose driver that when she sees the gap she is going to attack it to make things happen. A hard worker on defense that did not give up ground when defending on the ball. Nice rebounder on both ends that just seem to have a nose for the ball

What stood out was the outside shooting she showed. She has the capability to shot at a high percentage in three ways. First relocating and finding the open spot for the kick out 3. Second shooting off the dribble with a quick trigger. Lastly and the most impressive to me is the 3 -point shot over the ball screen. The ability to do that changes the mindset of how the opposing team defends ball screens. A 2026 I enjoyed watching and looking forward to seeing where she will continue her playing career after this season.

A point guard that when I watching you can see that every bounce with the ball has a purpose. The shifty ball handler is using a pocket dribble and shift of the feet just wafting to attack the open gap getting to the rim for the layup. If was fun to watch her set up the defender guarding her and the help defender coming in rotation. Great reads on thee help defender kicking to the ball to the open teammate. What makes her a double threat is you just cannot sit back and protect the drive as she can knock down the 3-pointer as well, with range I might add.

On the press defense she does an amazing job at reading the rhythm of the bounces just timing to make her move. Most of the steals on the ball where when the ball handler just pushed down on the dribble leaving the hand off the ball. Jayse jumped the ball with an inside shoulder dig to get the steal without fouling. A very high IQ I would say. A 2027 that I believe will have a great Junior season this year in school ball.

The combo guard just about did every thing for her team. A very solid shooter that demanded respect on the outside. Impressive was how many times she got to the rm from the top of the key. Attacked the gap just in the right location that put the pressure on the corner defender to help or not. If there was not help she would position her body in between the ball and defender. I really like this positioning of the ball increasing her chances of getting the shot of with no block or drawing the foul.

On defense she got herself close enough jamming up the ball handler with no space to crossover or blow by. Created turnovers leading to fastbreak points. What was fun to watch is you know this young lady is leaving it all on the court. She may look tired but when the ball was in play it was all hustle.

The long guard that had me checking the height and I thought she was around that 5'10 range. A complete guard that can handle the ball, shoot the 3 and attack the basket. An outstanding 3-point shooting guard that has her feet ready on the catch with a nice release and follow through. A very strong mid-range game who is very crafty in getting her shot without getting it block. She has the pull jumper off the dribble and a running floater that is very effective with either hand. I know a player that can hit with a floater right or left-handed that does not get shot block very much.

On defense she sat back several times waiting to jump the passing lane for the steal with her eyes up the floor looking to advance it with a pass. A shooting guard that you will find in the paint often playing defense as she is a good rebounder for a shooting guard. A 2026 that I look forward to following to see where she will land after her high school career.
