These prestigious awards usually end up in the hands of upperclassmen, but there a 1-2 underclassmen who could be in the running for this award as well. Below is a list of players who I believe could have strong enough seasons to be selected for this reward.

We haven't seen Jones lace up for high school season in a little over a year, but from the games she played this summer, people were reminded why she still is a 5 star prospect. She's been fine tuning more of her offensive game, and the defense was really never in doubt due to her athleticism and agility. She'll be the focal point for her team this winter, and with some solid complementary pieces, a trip downstate could happen, on top of her having another statistical season.

Danyella has consistently been one of the best guards in Illinois, and now entering her final season, I wouldn't be surprised if she finishes off the season with a state title as well as numerous awards to go with it. Her high school program is one of the few teams in the state that has had a deep playoff run in the last couple of years, so heading back down this season isn't far fetched.

London has separated herself over the last couple of years, and even during last year's season, she was easily one of the best players in the state. She is carrying a large load for her high school program, but if they can make a run in the playoffs, the stats that she'll put up will be the needle mover to have her in those award conversations.

Walton usually finds herself in conversations about standout players in the state, and this year, with BCP reloading, she could lead her team to a deep playoff run, which will definitely give her the nod of being a nominee for these awards, on top of being a highly scouted prospect.

Khloe is easily one of the most sought after prospects in this state, not just in her class.
