About Kendall

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Point guard with extensive training for inside/outside shooting & scoring ability. Reflexes and ability to stay on the quickest opposing guards with stamina to play for extended periods of time.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Vocal on court leadership, with teammate encouraging mentality.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Church retreat groups.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

On-court leadership has been a big area of growth for me over the past few years. Coaches have asked me offline to have team leadership roles during play and at practice, as well as being vocal and directing offense & defense in games. Off court, I babysit for several families that I have built trust with and have taken the Red Cross Babysitting course.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, a few injuries that have kept me sidelined for a portion of time during high-level travel basketball.

What type of college are you looking for?

Division I preferably in the Midwest.

Kellett is a smaller guard who comes to the gym with natural quickness, a fighter’s mentality, and a dose of flair in her repertoire. We were impressed by how Kendall was able to dribble her way out of trouble on more than one occasion. She created shots and pushed tempo to great effect. A pesky defender, she racked up several steals at the Showcase, turning defense into offense in a hurry. Consistent and confident, she showed off a reliable jumper to go with her creativity off the bounce. Wayzata is one of the toughest varsity rosters to crack, but if she continues to put in the work Kendall could get there eventually.
